Don't say a buhjillion or I'll find you and lace your sheets with itch powder

I'm only whining about this because I always try to choose a best aswer within a couple days at most. It's like "why ask a question if you're don't care about the answer?"

Ever answered a question from the Academic forums? Don't bother. 99% of them are just looking for someone to do their homework for them without showing any gratitude. I say we punch them.

10 points would be good. I also get annoyed when I get 10 points for Best Answer because i was the ONLY one who answered!

Yeah, say just an extra point. But in addition, allow askers to choose a best answer quicker. YA wouldn't let me choose best answer within 4 hours, but I was then without a computer for a week. I had a some good answers and feel bad about not acknowledging any. Sorry, but it just couldn't be helped.

I like the current setup the way it is. There's no need to penalize anybody anything for not choosing a "Best Answer" within 3 days. Just give those points to somebody else. It'll teach the question asker to stay more on their toes.

I usually extend the expiration on my questions just to see if I can get more answers during the extra time. I always get more answers, and thus have more to pick from when it is time to choose. Sometimes the best answers are the later ones. No, it would not be fair to penalize.

How about if they do not choose a best answer within 3 days it automatically goes up for a vote and the poster gets no points.

I agree, some of the drivel written here is voted as most popular (stick to the question people). Why do we continually have to spell it out for them (Don't say buhjillion or...)

Many are looking for that yes/no response, rather than answering the question. I hope common sense is restored here and that our points are restored to us, after all why put up with this unfair system when we could just log on and answer those yes/no questions

It only would work with people who cares about the points and levels.

I think it would be nice if people let their questions to wait for a little while because some people do not have time to answer them so fast.

i do no longer think of plenty attempt is going into the figuring out on of maximum suitable answer. sometimes the "asker" will go with an answer as maximum suitable answer and then ridicule the guy with an extra remark. i think of all that is going to teach that YA is used via one in each of those huge variety of persons, we will not even wager what motivates them. evaluate this a thank you to combat boredom and don't desire for excellence interior the substitute of tips.

20 points. points dont matter anyway. if you cant choose a best answer, putting the question on vote gives you 1 point instead.
