How? What are some points you will use and what religion are you backing up?

Religious websites skew information toward their own beliefs, as many Christian researchers have commented on. Historic or scientific websites would carry much more weight with many of us outside the Christian community, as they have evidence to back their claims. Posting verses from the Bible with religious links to attempt to back it up is about equal to quoting nursery rhymes and using Mother Goose as evidence of its veracity.

I just had this thought in my head, I'm doubting it's original.

So thousands of years ago, before anyone knew the earth's core was super hot, they said that there was a hell "down there" that was a burning pit of suffering. Then we find out that down there actually is very hot.

Doesn't that make the Heaven/Hell idea more valid?

Why are so many religions based simply off stories, I'm not trying to offend anyone, but, when I think of it, I can't get over the fact that Bible, and lots of other religous books are simply stories with underlying codes. Does anyone have any thoughst about this? Again Not trying to offend anyone, just want to get other peoples opinons.

We follow the "Mormon" Jesus....are other Christians not Christian because they follow "Paul's Jesus"?

Paul taught many things that go against what Christ said, and many of today's churches follow Paul...

When bad things happen, you pray to God, correct? Why do you overlook the fact that he's the cause of the bad things? Take the fires in Southern California for example. People are praying to God to stop the fires. But they don't realize that he's the cause. And I don't want any "God will do what is best" crap. What good can leaving 70,000+ people homeless do?

Personally i think it's all fantasy stories i mean our brain triggers the way we feel and the way we interact with others we were just taught what not to do and have a conscious so therefore we'd just die and thats it, lifes over. i mean the bible says that animals dont go to heaven becaus thay have no souls but really were all animals most of us have the same organisms its just were smarter than animals and think that we are somehow different and have souls?

Tell me your opinion?

My wife and I believe in living out the Christian faith. part of that is living in Christian community. We were wondering how we would go about finding other young married christian couples that are interested in Christian married community. We live in an average sized city, with Cleveland and Columbus about an hour away. Thank you.

why is it against your religion to celebrate birthdays, Christmas, or any other holidays?
Do you feel that not participating in these acts will please God.
Are you a sinner if you do celebrate these holidays?

The other day I was eating with a Bible Study friend. As we were about to eat I noticed he started praying, When he finished I told him that when I was younger I used to pray before my meals, but that I don't do that anymore because I have my communion with Christ before I go to sleep. He then told me, if oly you knew why it is that people pray before meals you would pray, too.

I must admit, there is a bit of a pride issue that shouldn't be there, perhaps that is the reason why I haven't asked him. So, I wanted to see what you could say about it. I suppose I will still ask him this week when I see him, but still, I want to get there knowing at least something.

Science and technology provide you guys with so much. I mean, there’s modern medicine, modern communication, transportation and let’s not forget that technology has helped your religion spread across the globe. And yet here so many of you are, instructing your children to reject science and knowledge in favor of their antithesis – blind faith.
