The more appropriate question would be: what were the parents?
if they are both human, the result is a human as well it doesn't matter what stage of life this human undergoes whether it be the any of the unborn stages, childhood stage, adolescent or a full adult.
Think about it if you see a pregnant goat you'll automatically know another of its kind will be the end result of, same goes for any kind of creature. And to sum up, all of each happens right from the moment of conception, not when the egg is fertilized and not when it is born either. Take care and God bless

No. I believe it is "okay" before the foetus has developed into a baby. I don't understand your confusion about this. What exactly are you trying to pin down? I think an abortion is a medical procedure and if a woman has it every few months, provided it is within the first few weeks, fine. But what kind of woman would want to do that? It's not a particularly pleasant thing to go through. Anyone who required an abortion every few months would obviously need some form of psychiatric help. I'm sure that most women are fully capable of being responsible and not getting themselves pregnant - but guess what? I have a friend who was on the pill and used a condom, and still fell pregnant. Why? Obviously there was a slip up - maybe he didn't put it on in time. The pill is not 100% - you will still have the odd pregnancy here and there. And if Cherie Blair, the wife of the former prime minister of the UK, and a top barrister, can get her contraception wrong, so can the rest of us.

a developing child is still a child- a 3 month old fetus could not survive outside the womb, most likely- however that does not make it not a child. If a baby is born with a birth defect does that make him/her less of a child. When a baby is born, He or she cannot survive without full assistance from mom and dad- does that make it not a child. A child continues to grow until they are 18 or so- so could you say, that a 14 year old is not fully developed so he/she is not a child either.

No a 3-month old fetus couldn't survive outside the womb but I consider it an unborn child. It is as much alive as you and I it just isn't old enough to live outside the womb. I think most people that believe in abortion will say its not a child and people that are against it will say it is a child.

Questions of this nature are arbitrary and symply not necessary..... Until a child is born it is a part a a womans body. I do not agree with taking freedom from that woman.....
Don't get me wrong, I think her choices will be addressed before God... But that is between her and God..... "We the People" should not make choices for pregnant women, It is between them and Their God.....
As an American I stand firm that Roe V. Wade should be overturned,,,,, It is not the place of the Federal Government to decide these issues, States must choose for themselves whether or not to allow abortion and regulations on it. Don't get me wrong, My personal belief is that it is wrong.... My political standing is that each state should make their own rules of law on the matter. R v. W was not decided legally because the US Supreme Court had no right "Legally" to decide the matters at hand in that court proceeding.
I still feel personally that it is a choice and pray that women make the right choice but, as a legal matter it is an issue that (if it must be addressed) should be addresssed at the state level... There are no founding documents addressing this so the only way to deal with it would be on a state and local level..... Big Government is wrong!

Survival outside the womb isn't the qualification for being a child. Conception is. If it doesn't start being a child until it can survive on its own then I guess it only becomes a child at the age of eighteen (and that would be pushing it).

I don't think a fetus is a child until it's viable. Which I think is 22 weeks in most states.
EDIT: what? A six month old baby CAN survive outside the womb.
lol love yahoo wannabe a prince. I've never seen a full term infant be able to do that either. But a baby born at six months gestation can survive. Granted, there are usually medical issues (most babies born before 32 weeks are blind and have heart issues) but they can live. How do I know? I went into labor at 30 weeks and did extensive research on my baby's chance of survival and defects. I was also given information from doctors and the hospital I stayed at until my son was born (at 36 weeks).

No, a three-month fetus is not viable with our current technology (I've been a nurse for 30 years, so I have some idea what I'm talking about). It's possible that will change shortly.
The rest of your question is a debate. I'll pass.

Is a six year old really a child? Why not abort it if you don't want it after six years? No difference, life is life whether it is in or out of the womb.
