you need to read the Bible for yourself and ask God to teach you:
Here is what the Bible says:
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. 6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.
8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.
15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Paul dealt with that in several of his letters...I believe Galatians has some pretty strong stuff to say about it. (It's late, I could be wrong on the specific book, going on memory here.)
Basically, yes, if you repent (turn away from your sins and to God) honestly, He will forgive your sins. He will come into your life and will stay with you. You will begin to understand things a bit more from his point of view...and you will see first hand that what sin does is separate you from him.
When you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit helps you tell the difference between sin and not sin. He convicts you - shows you that you've done wrong - when you sin, and nudges you back to God.
Paul states pretty strongly that though we have new freedom in Christ, we are not to take advantage of it. "Should sin abound that grace can abound more? Surely not!" (A bit paraphrased from memory, but that's the gist of it.) Basically, should we live an all-out life of sin just because God will forgive it? Nope.
The grace and forgiveness that God offers you are free - you don't have to do anything to earn it - but it's not a Get Out of Jail Free Card. Once you have it, life has changed and you see how detrimental sin is. You see how it separates you from God, and you start to really dislike the wall that it puts up between you and him. Once he's in your life, will he ever leave you? No...but if you insist on going your own way, he won't force you to stay close to him.
You get one or the other - fellowship with God and his blessings, or following your own way and reaping the consequences. God will forgive all sins, but only when repentance is given honestly.

God is all knowing and lives in the present. Time has no constraint on God. What he did give us is free will. Each one of us chooses our path. You can sin or not sin. God knows your choice and he permits it. Nothing happens without his permission since he rules all. He permits evil because he can make good come out of it. So your sin is your sin. You need to repent (one of Jesus' most stated commandment). Some religions do believe that once they are saved they will go to heaven no matter what. But that is erroneous, especially if you read Scripture about how to get into heaven.

Your sins are covered in forgiveness by Jesus blood shed on the cross for the redemption of sin. He died once for all. It is your responsibility to accept him as your savior, acknowledge there is no other way to receive salvation, and "try" your best to not sin. When you accept Christ the Holy Spirit comes into your heart to reside. You begin a slow process of making changes; that you make the right choices and don't sin freely. You are human. You will sin...but it is not a free pass to run foot loose and fancy free. You may not lose your salvation but you will be disciplined. Every parent corrects their children they love and you may not like it. You must repent of your sins and be sincere. (and you will know when and if you are sincere) When you receive Christ as your savior and pray for help to avoid temptation and not sin it becomes easier. What is not possible for man is not impossible for God. You do your part and he will do his....it is yours to accept and believe, and put your faith in him. It is his to fulfill his promises....
You are talking about predestination which to some extent is expressed with God gaving man freedom of choice, and it is not known to what extent God will or will not intervine in the lives of men. That is why salvation is a gift of God because none can earn it. God would have that none fall short of glory and all be saved. As we are not capable of knowing the mind of God in his mercy and forgiveness we can not second guess. Again, it is our part to trust and believe and his to do the rest.

great question-
God does forgive us of all our sins! but to be forgiven you have to ask for the forgiveness and if you really want forgivenes god will know and you will do your very BEST not to sin again! of course we all will sin until we get to heaven but as you grow closer to god the desire to sin decreases more and more! at a certain point in your relationship there would be no need for ANYONE to drink or do drugs because when you spend time with God it's almost like a high but a high on God!!

i dont know what books you read. the God of the Bible forgives.
sin doesnt get you into heaven, forgiveness does.
if you get saved, you wont want to sin. but as long as you do want to, then 1) you are not saved 2) you dont know how to trust God to help you to stop 3) somehow you justify the sin (extreme grace theology) and deceive yourself.
every sin that you commit is what you do. what God plans for you is to live a life free of sin.
God plans more for your life but that would be another topic.

Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven. There's a verse in 1 John 3:6 which states: Whoever abides in Him does not sin. The literal translation is: "Whoever abides in Him, does not habitually commit sin." Therein lies the key. A Christian sins because he or she is not perfect. However, they do not sin intentionally, because they love God. But it's good to know that even when we fail, we can find forgiveness in Jesus Christ. (Read 1 John 1:9).

Ahh, I am glad you are getting deep into this and want some answers. Confusing, this sin stuff. I want to encourage you to e-mail me if you have any questions or curiosities I could help you with ^^
No, you can't sin all you want. You most certainly can not. We, as humans, are sinners. naturally, we love to sin. We want to sin. However, having 'human nature' doesn't excuse us. God wants us to follow Him. And to follow him, we have to forget ourselves- drop ourselves, and try our best to follow things His way. yes, God is in control of all-- he puts obstacles in your life to challenge you to get around them. He knows all your decisions and your sins before they happen- but you still decide whether to do right or wrong. Yes, God did send His son to die on the cross for all of us- so our sins are forgiven, so if we do something wrong and then we repent, nobody has to die, no life has to be sacrificed and no gift has to be given befoe we are forgiven. So we can just say "I'm sorry" then go do it again? No. You can not fool God like that. He knows your heart-- whether you are going to try to change yourself or you think you can fool Him.

Good Question
Well when we sin we should repent and ask for forgiveness from the Lord. When we repent it is basically like "turning away from the sin" or not doing it again. See if you say something like "Im going to sin all I want and then ask for forgiveness" it isnt going to work. You see where I am getting w/ this.

After our baptism we are dead to the law(10 commandments and born again of the sprite(grace)
So if you are not under the law but now in grace then nothing you can do is a sin. For sin no longer applies to you. Your righteousness has nothing to do with our own actions, you have put on the "righteousness of Christ"
Furthermore to combine the works of the law and faith is to fall from grace. So repent of the dead works of the law(10 commandments) and have faith in Christ.
However as vessels of the holy sprite we must live righteously as we are living temples of the holy sprite.
Paul never taught his converts the ten commandments because he didn't want them to try to live under them, but he did warn them not to fornicate or associate them selves with idols, and to abstain from blood and things strangled.
Oh and yes, god knew before the creation of the world who his elect are(who he is to have mercy on)

repentance in involved in our salvation- repentance is not just being sorry that we sinned, and then to continue to sin- that would make His grace cheap- and it is not cheap it cost Him His life to pay for our sin. Repentance means turning away from sin, back to God. God knows the sin that we will commit, but He did not plan those sins to be committed by us.
