Would you give up the Catholic church to fallow Christ?
" " Mormonisim, Kingdom Hall, Baptist church, methodist, penticostal bla bla bla, to fallow Jesus?

Oh, God forbid! He would never ask such a thing!

Paul said, "Why do you say, 'I am of Paul! or I am of Peter!"

Christ is one and has only one body and it definatly is not rulled by one earthling. He is the head.
READ YOU BIBLES EVERYONE!

Maybe the harlot is the "church" in general.

P.S. I may be a Gypsy, but I do attend a church. They speek Spanish and it's very hard to fallow, so frequently I leave after worship (the best part!!)

When someone is touching a certain part of my body... or at different times of the day... I see colors. My eyes will be closed and I will see colors.

I can make the colors change.. from blue to purple to yellow... whatever I want. I can make them change.

I have recently been told that that is my 'inner eye' and that I can work it so that it teaches me things.

Does anyone know anything about this? Or can anyone give me any resources to strengthening this?

I noticed on here that many posters who go by the title "Evangelical" or "born again" rarely talk of Christ or act Christ-like in manner when addressing Catholics but mostly attack a caricature of Catholicism, now why is that?

I'm an atheist. However, I am able to comprehend most Christian ideas.

Just the same, I cannot grasp this concept:

God is in Heaven, you claim.

We are on Earth.

The two are not physically connected.

And yet...God cares when we don't comply with him? I don't see how he is affected.

Enlighten me?

And if He did, what was it?

2007-10-20 10:46:48 · 17 answers · asked by Zezo Zeze Zadfrack 1

In my opinion. No i would not. I would rather gather up the people who didnt make it and have a classroom type setting teach them everything they never got to experience in life and who God is, and how to get to heaven. Than at the end if they accept they go to heaven. Which they all would because no sane person would choose a hell.
Now some might say well they could have been taught on earth. wrong no one knows the truth to the afterlife 100%. So does me sending everyone to heaven make me more forgiving than God?

My friend aged 78 is arranging that when he dies his body will be taken immediately, to the crematorium or ASAP and before the memorial service for friends and family, which will be a celebration of his life, to be held a couple of days later. What do you think of his plans.

Yes, I guess this is one of those "what would Jesus do" sort of questions.

If Jesus were asked if homosexuality was a sin, what do you believe He would have said?

Would He have thought it sinful?

Would He have said its sinful only if practiced?

Would He have said its no sin at all?

I really want to know what you honestly feel would have been Jesus' answer to this issue.

Thanks.

Is there an unforgivable sin? And if there isn't, then why isn't "the Church" and Christians in general, more forgiving and acceptable? Shouldn't God be the one to judge? I am reading an autobiography of Jim Bakker, the very same who was involved in the "PTL Scandal" in the late 80's. He said," I was wrong." And repented, and now is out of prison, and on tv again, a changed, humbled man, or so it seems. Does he deserve another chance?

why would he knowingly make an earth that would doom people for eternity. Why not have people born into heaven? or is it just more fun to see people suffer and become confused about religions. Than the masses than reject beliefs that are hard to grasp than burn for all eternity.

When my mom was young, she was kidnapped by the Pol Pot ( a war in the 1960s when the Viet invaded Cambodia) and they killed my uncles & my grandfather. After my grandfathers death,my mom said that she she saw him & he told her to go with these people and they gave her food and washed her. & i know shes not lying. I wish i could meet him. I've never met anyof my grandparents except for one grandma. Do you think spirits can come contact us on earth?

Do you believe that God may have revealed himself to people in other ways, or through other religions?

I'm 16 and I have been raised in the Catholic faith, baptized and all. I was confirmed in seventh grade, but at that age believed in God becuase my parents told me to.

At this point, I don't feel very Catholic. There are too many contradictions in the faith that keep me from believing. The problem is, my parents don't accept it.

I do not want to have to go to church anymore, and I am currently trying to figure out exactly what I believe in, but my parents refuse to accept the fact that I don't want any part in their faith. When I am at church, I feel like I'm lying to myself and the rest of the congregation. I am happy for them that they believe, and I respect their beliefs, but it's not something I believe. How can I talk to my parents and make them understand that I don't want to be forced to swallow their beliefs and that I want to decide for myself what I believe?

My 4 years of depression and a suicide attempt make this all a lot harder as well.

Pilate asked the crowds, "Which one do you want me to release to you - Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?" Why did he phrase it like that? Why didn't he just say Barabbas or Jesus?
