Well you can't do it too much but I also hope you don't live in fear that if you don't pray that somehow you won't be forgiven.

Listen to 1 John 1:7:
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

This verse is saying that as long as you "walk in the light" that your are being constantly purified. The Greek tense for "purifies" signifies an ongoing action. You are a child of God you are saved! I think maybe you should couple your repetence with thanksgiving that God has already forgiven you.

Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT
"The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning."

I like what you are doing, I basically do the same thing, we can never Pray enough, Pray without ceasing, 1st Thes.5:17, when we are totally cleansed this gives us a close walk with Jesus our Lord and lets the Holy Spirit work in our Lives to Glorify our Saviour. We should be witness for him where ever we are at, keep up the good witness. May Gods blessings be upon you, Numbers 6: 24-26, The LORD bless thee, and keep the, 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Just realize that if you really put your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior all your sins, past, present and future, have been cleaned away. Of course we'll still sin and we should be sorry for those but don't think if you die and didn't repent of every last sin that you'll go to hell or some kind of purgatory if you already have trust Jesus as Lord and Savior in your life.

You should think about this Lindsey.

The first thing that someone should be considering is whether the idea of sin is actually real.

If God is supposed to be perfect how could She have made anything or anyone that wasn't perfect.
Think about it. The idea of sin assumes certain things about God that seem highly unlikely.

First it assumes a God who is too incompetent to organize a simple educational field excursion and figure out a way to get all of the students home safely.

How likely is this that God would not be smart enough to come up with a plan for our salvation that is going to work 100 percent of the time?

It also assumes that God must have created us imperfect if we are sinners.

One might assume that God would be able to create someone perfect each and every time if he chose to. Assuming God is capable of this, then it follows logically that we must be perfect creations if we are actually creations of this perfect God.

Unless of course you are saying that God chose to create us imperfect.

If God created us imperfect then anything that may go wrong is Gods fault, not ours. This seems a bit illogical at best so I think that we need to assume that What God creates would have to be perfect.

If this is the case and Gods creations are perfect, then nothing that we can do could change what God created perfect and make it imperfect unless we think that we are more powerful than God is.

How likely is it that we the creation could be more powerful than the creator. I personally find this idea somewhat amusing, and a bit absurd.

Religion tells us that God is perfect. If this is true then it could hardly be logically for Gods creations to be considered to be anything less than perfect.

If this is the case and we are perfect creations of a perfect God then Nothing that we can ever do could possibly change this perfection that God willed, unless we were so powerful that our choices could override and change the will of God.

How likely is that????

Think about it.

That's very commendable that you want to be cleansed for all your sins.

Remember this, though, that the Bible says, "If we sin, we have an advocate with the Father" and "When we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

This means that if you sin, then you should ask God to forgive you. If you haven't sinned, then there's nothing for you to confess. Remember, it says "IF we sin ..."

God bless you :-)

I don't think it's possible to repent too much. We are so unworthy of God's love and mercy that it can't hurt to continually repent and ask for forgiveness.
Too many of us let too much time go without repenting, that we forget about things that we need to seek forgiveness for.
You know what I mean?
I hope this helps...
God Bless,

Repenting means to turn from your sin. You should be seeking forgiveness from God for your sins

The only way to be cleansed from sin is to believe that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again.

Your spiritual problem is that you haven't accepted God's grace. You don't have faith that he will forgive your sins when you ask once. So you ask over and over. Ask him to give you faith.

i know what you mean. when my nephew died..every second i was repenting for something. even if i sneezed i repented. i must admit, i got carried away. but i told myself..God knows my heart. God knows your heart. also, when you dream..that is out of your control. God understands that. just be quick to repent and you'll be alright.
