Other than satisfying his curiosity, and causing theists to panic, how will man be helped?

Since atheists know so much about the origin of mankind and the origin of creation. Where does atheism originate from? Was it a thought that was founded on common sense? Or is it a frame of mind that all of us have and makes us believe different things? The reason I ask this is because some think they "know" so much about somebody else's religion or belief and yet they don't know anything about their own....

J. K. Rowling has outed Dumbledore. I have refused to let a children's book affect my faith, I have enjoyed the Harry Potter books and movies greatly...going against the ideologies of many Christians regarding witchcraft...magic...etc; I viewed it as simple entertainment, and still do. However, now that Dumbledore is gay, it somehow bothers me and lessons my respect for a British single mother who worked her way from being a waitress to a multi-millionaire, best selling author. How does this make you feel...if you have any feeling at all in regards to this matter?

We have a couple of "former atheists" here in this forum, and they seem to excite quite a bit of comment from the atheist faction here.
What is your opinion?

From Science Digest: "Scientists who utterly reject Evolution may be one of our fastest-growing controversial minorities… Many of the scientists supporting this position hold impressive credentials in science."

A former evolutionist, Dr. Wilder-Smith wrote, "The Evolutionary model says that it is not necessary to assume the existence of anything, besides matter and energy, to produce life. That proposition is unscientific. We know perfectly well that if you leave matter to itself, it does not organize itself - in spite of all the efforts in recent years to prove that it does."

Secular scientist Richard Milton said, "Darwinism has been waning for several decades as its grip has weakened in successive areas: geology; paleontology; embryology; comparative anatomy. Now even geneticists are beginning to have doubts."

I can keep going and going and going...

Nonbeliever's define faith as believing without evidences. But actually there are tons of evidences there that points that there is God, like healings from sickness/diseases, a persons life change from a miserable one to a meaningful one, divine interventions; people who have seen God and angels, answered prayers, & archeological artifacts...miracles. When a person is healed from something after they believed God, nonbelievers often tells that the body healed itself, if its that easy then why are there people who are still sick? I'd like to see an unbeliever get healed if its like that. I have read many articles about people who were getting healed and later goes back to their doctors for follow-up and even the doctors couldn't explain why they are healed. Not only those people are evidences of God's healing but also they are being backed-up by their medical records. I have seen many people who were miserable but after they accept God, they became happy, joyous people. =>cont.

We almost never lose both mittens or gloves; we usually lose one of them. The dryer tends to 'eat' only one sock from each pair. Don't you think it's entirely plausible that all these mittens/gloves and socks were taken by God because he needed them for the amputees who are in Heaven?

.... by breeders choosing the desired traits that they want in a dog. isnt that proof of evolution right infont of you?!

why do christians automatically accept some some science, but not the science that contradicts the bible. serious science doesnt get published without evidence. creationists like to point out that that evolution is just a theory, but it can be observed in a million different ways plain and simple.
they see electricity turn on a light bulb and accept that it exists so why cant they see evolution all around them and accept that exists too?

During the first Gulf war when the oil wells were lit on fire I was attacked by a Demon on three separate occasions all at night. The third time this Demon attacked me I commanded it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. This is when it happened. I was in my bedroom sleeping each time it occurred and was awaken in a horrid way. When attacked the spirit inside me fought this Demon until I awoke and then made me take over. Have you ever fought against the dead, good luck you'll wish you never knew they exist. After I commanded it to leave the most amazing thing happened. I was brought into the presence of the Lord. By this I mean that the Holy spirit brought me into the Hallway outside my room and the Demon followed. As I stood there the Demon took his tail in one hand my hand in the other and placed his tail on top of my hand, It sent waves of fire through my soul. The pain was so sever I couldn't scream, I looked straight up and said father please help me. Then the Demon left.

The last time I asked this, it was 6am and got two answers (both spam) so I am asking it again...

I don't think that most individuals that now call themselves "former atheists - now Christians" were ever, in fact, atheists.

Why? Because I think it's more likely they call themselves that because they were actually either anti-theists (that is, they held a grudge against their church or religion in general for some unknown reason) or they call themselves former atheists for some ulterior motive (for example, to get sympathy from current atheists or perhaps because they think, by saying so, that they gain some credibility with the atheist and religious communities. But I don't buy it.

So, I propose a test, to see if they ever really were atheists. It consists of four questions, which the vast majority of atheists would say "yes" to... If they agree with all four, then I would concede they really were atheists.

the God test
the Jesus test
the Bible test
the Blasphamy test
