.... by breeders choosing the desired traits that they want in a dog. isnt that proof of evolution right infont of you?!

why do christians automatically accept some some science, but not the science that contradicts the bible. serious science doesnt get published without evidence. creationists like to point out that that evolution is just a theory, but it can be observed in a million different ways plain and simple.
they see electricity turn on a light bulb and accept that it exists so why cant they see evolution all around them and accept that exists too?

yes 'Solly Redux' the different breeds are still all dogs, but evolution takes a long time. if the breeds are kept seperate they would become seperate species. there are already dogs that cant breed with one another anymore. its evolution sped up in front of our eyes!

'Jeancommunicates' that isnt how evolution works duh. i wont even begin to tell you where you've gone wrong on that one.

'oklatom' selective breeding is evidence of evolution on a small scale. the single celled organism turning into an elephant just takes alot longer

Creationism is supported mostly by Fundamentalism.
Fundamentalism relies on the idea that the bible is literally true.
Evolution theory directly contradicts Genesis. In other word if evolution is right then the bible is not literally true.
Fundamentalism is a billion dollar a year industry in the USA.

I don't think the Fundamentalists are interested in accepting that evolution is true because that would threaten their gravy train. They will fight science tooth and nail.

Evolution cannot produce some thing new apart from rearranging the alleles already present within the organism. Genes for certain points are both became on or off depending on the atmosphere of the organism. The example of dogs and the like (foxes, hyenas, dingos, wolves) that you have given is also exceptional species however they are all genetically related and may interbreed. The so-called vestigial organs not vestigial. There used to be many extra organs described as vestigial in previous textbooks. Now people be aware of their capabilities and hence that number has long past down extensively.

Breeding different kinds of dogs is not evolution but that is one of the things that got Darwin thinking of the topic.

He saw that many species had the ability to express a wide variety of traits if selectively bred, but that the animals of a particular species all looked the same in the wild. They had the capacity for a lot of genetic variabilty only one type seemed to show in the wild. This got him to the idea of competition and survival of the fittest. The form you see in the wild is the form with the best chance of survival in that environment.

Selective breeding is not evolution. Evolution is a one celled sea thing growing legs and going on to land to eventually become an elephant.

The Lord said dogs would reproduce after their kind. Now, if you can get a dog and a bird to reproduce a birddog I'll accept your theory of evolution. You may be able to do this with gene manipulation but that is creating a monster and not evolution.

I've noticed 100 percent of online fundamentalists accept high technology as an acceptable way to bash science. Funny, no?

They don't want to see two dogs producing another dog, they want to see two dogs producing a bird. This is because most of them lack knowledge of the fundamentals of evolution.

Different dog breeds will eventually turn into completely different species. Like I bet we won't be seeing chihuahuas and great danes breeding and having viable offspring in the next 100 years. That's evolution in action.

They are feeble minded.

Some people also believe that the earth is only 10,000 years old (which is after the domestication of dogs.) I even met a person who thought dinosaurs were planted in some sort of government conspiracy. I just hope these are the people who don't vote.
