This subject is about my understanding vs. the Imam.

Prophet Muhammad SAW said "if you have a doubt or question about Islam, please refer to the Holy Qur'an and my Hadist".

I always learn to see something, referring to both of them.
That is why, i don't want to hear anything about the words from the Imam (following the mashab). I follow them only to guide my how to pray and do my duties. But for the relative understanding, I don't. (eg: the 1000 night (lailatl qadr), relation between muslim and kafir, etc)

My reason is, the matter of god, is between me and him. No imam will told me how to do, how will i interact with him. Because, I'm the one who take a burden of my mistake, not them (i don't want to depend on anybody).

So, is it wrong or not? anybody have the same opinion with me?

There are lots of references to slavery in the bible including detailed instructions of how slaves should be treated. Its clear that it was His will that we should be allowed slaves. Isn't the abolition of slavery in direct contradiction of Gods word?

How do we explain why christian nations, such as the USA and UK, have allowed this situation to arise?

A 2008 calendar called "Men on a Mission" will be released showing mormon missionaries exposing their bodies. From an outsider perspective, I think it's okay, I don't think it will have a huge effect on how the world sees missionaries, not that some of them really care. And furthermore, it is for a good cause. Plus the photos are not taken in a bad manner if you know what i mean. What's your take on this, LDS people in particular?

If you do not know what this calendar is, here is the link:
http://www.mormonsexposed.com/

All I can say is that those former missionaries are hot! I still won't join the church, not that I am against it or anything. I must admit however that this religion is very interesting.

Smile :)

Just imagine some hypothetical situation. You've been married, you're trying to conceive, it's not working, you want to know if your sperm count is high or low or nonexistent, etc...

Would you masturbate in order to provide the necessary sperm sample?

I genuinely want to know. This isn't a joke. This isn't to make fun of you. I want to know if it would violate your sense of sexual morality if it were only done for the sake of testing.

Why is every prophet of the Bible not mentioning a single clue about Muhammed? Even Jesus never mentions another prophet coming. Could Jesus have forgot?

At the loveless motel and restaurant out on highway 33
The matchbook says call for reservations
Country ham and biscuits, delicious steaks
I met a woman there one night
No moon, just, just diesel trucks
She kissed me like she was hungry so we got a room
In the morning she looked like a horse
Smoking little cigars
Playing these tapes of her husband
She says "Doesn't he sound like Elvis?"
She makes champagne out of 7-Up and cheap wine
Like a chemist
Next to one of those insect electric chairs
Her skin gleaming blue everytime a fly died
I read in the funnies, I laughed anyway
"Someting's burning somewhere" I said
"Yeah, it's us" she says
"You both want coffee?" the waitress says
Yes, two, two coffees
That's perfect on this cold, dim, flourescent morning
And a couple of those donuts over there, right Doris?
Right Doris?
Earth to Doris....Earth to Doris

All the weak pseudoscience-trash creationist call 'evidence' against evolution is such utter garbage.

We live in a country where DNA is the deciding factor in a person getting the death penalty or not when creationists won't acknowledge the evidence of DNA proving evolution.

How can anyone argue with cdk007's videos on youtube?
How can anyone take in answersingenesis.com's ********?
How can anyone go against the scientific discipline?
Why are they people like Venomfangx saying evolution is false?

I'm not looking for anyone to tell me about their beliefs, but I'm curious to know how you came to your beliefs. Did you simply adopt the same beliefs you grew up with, did you engage in some kind of self discovery, or something else.

I grew up around religion in the sense that I had religious babysitters and my mom use to send us off on Sunday mornings to whatever church sent a bus around the apartments. But I can't ever really believing in God or religion. I can remember having conversations as far back as 6th or 7th grade about not believing the Bible.

In my teens and early 20's I never really gave much thought to religion or my beliefs, I just didn't have any. I got married when I was about 22 to a Christian woman and tried to go to church with her with an open mind, but that's about the time I really started to realize I didn't believe in God.

I think I started articulating my lack of belief in part because of the court challenge to the Pledge of Allegiance.

I asked about fire and evolution and Yahoo put it in the Cooking section.
I asked about tithing and Yahoo put it in Big Business and Finance.
Sometimes I forget to check the category Yahoo has put it in, and I get strange comments from other sections. lol
I once asked a question about Jesus and Yahoo put it in Psychology. One answer was "who's Jesus?".
Is Yahoo really only a mindless computer or a real committee???

I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but I'm just curious as to who all of you believe will go to hell. I mean I'm an un-baptized non- believer, so naturally at this point I've been duly informed of my hellish fate, but the reason always varies. I've been told that I’m going to hell because I don't believe in God, the un-baptized thing, I don't go to church, I don't pray everyday and my favorite: because I dye my hair and wear pants... If you are religious do you think that all religious people will go to heaven or just those who chose the "right" religion (your religion no doubt)? Does... I dunno... being a good, kind person have anything to do with it?

I love your religion and have nothing against it, but im just very curious... do you believe that Jesus is God, as in the trinity, or do you believe that he is a prophet of God. I was talking to my friend and i said something like "yeah but God is not human, and she said well he was at one point. so i wonder when she says God, is she referring to Jesus...? ahh im so confused! I've spoken to different people and i can't get it clear... PLEASE HELP. :D
