DAN 6:23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.DAN 6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den. 40 something `m`, American race! trying to believe!

I fear dying, not so much being dead. I am atheist.

Age: 21. Sex: Female. Race: White Hispanic

I don't like the idea of non-existence (I do not believe in an afterlife, so death is it), but I have come to terms with it on some level. What bothers me is the thought of dying at some unexpected moment, and the pain that dying requires. I'll be honest: The thought of never waking up does scare me. So does the idea that I will no longer play a part in humanity or the universe. I enjoy life, and I want to savor it. I do not know if this feeling will change as I get older. All I have is the current moment to savor at my choosing.

51, male, Chinese - not religious but spiritually inclined.
The fear of death is a natural one, if you focus on the physical body dying. However if one observes nature, one sees it is cyclic - like how your garden grows over the years. Plants die out and then are reborn again. And so reincarnation for humans remain a strong possibility.

If you acknowledge the spirit within you - you will know that the spirit animates the physical body, and when the physical body dies, it will go back from whence it came. To the spirit world, or afterlife (not to heaven or hell, etc).
Common sense will tell you we all grow through the same life and death, etc process - no matter what belief system you have. And it is even said - that the dying process is not so terrible after all, but a welcome release from this life and reality (when it is your time to go). Common sense will also tell you, that what all religions tell you - cannot be correct, but is wrong - ie. false.

No, I don't fear death, in fact I truly wish it would come sooner than later. While I am a bible believing Christian, I really don't adhere to religions because they are man made ideas, that try to fit the bible into mans wants and needs. I have continually read the bible, studied some chapters more than others. I believe it is true, and is God's inspired teachings. Heaven is going to be so much nicer, better, and full of love, than earth.

I am 55, male, Caucasian-Hawaiian. No, not religious, but very much God fearing, my opinion has taken long study, and soul searching, and it is my opinion.

Fear death... No, nor do I look forward to it. It just is a natural part of the life cycle which occurs to all things. I only fear the manner of my death, hope it's not anguishing or demeaning or anything.
Not Religious. I was not raised religious, that is to say, conditioned to a faith. I am also not superstitious by nature, so am not compelled to seek out mystical answers to unknowns. I am content to accept that much about the nature of the universe and existence is inhertantly unknowable.

I believe in a higher power and some form of after-life and my fear of death stems mostly from the fear of the unknown more so than death itself. The other info u ask for is irrelevant to ur question.

I'm a pantheist, and religious. Mostly I don't fear death, but I have moments when I think "I really don't want to die NOW, I have a bunch of things left I want to experience."

I don't fear death, but there are some ways of dying that scare the crap out of me.

I am 41, white, American, pantheist

I am religious though I do not go to church, I do read the bible and pray (though not as much as I should). No, I do not fear death at all. I see it as the beginning of forever. I believe that Jesus Christ died for the sins of man and that acknowledging Him as such one is saved. I pray for forgiveness of sin and for my loved ones. Death does not bother me. It is a part of life and we all must die at some point. So why be afraid of dieing. I am 28, male, Caucasian, and have a degree in history (BA). =)

No, I do not fear death it is natual. Look at nature...all things die. Like an animal dies and decomposes into the ground then grows into a nice pretty flower, which is food for other aniamls, who then are food for others. I think that all life is really just one and that the concept of the 'self' is only illusion.

I have no religion. I do believe in God and in Christ. I think that I believe that the death of my body is like the destruction of a cage, or container which imprisons who I really am. It tethers me to earth. When that is destroyed or killed, I will be free again. I will know so much more in order to make completely informed decisions. Like do I want to get back into another body and go to school, (earth), again.
On the death bed of my aunt she took me to the edge of where she was. I was so worried about the pain she may be in, and where she was gonna go, etc. She pulled me out of my body and took me to where she was. It was wonderful, she was not in any pain, regardless of how her physical body was doing, and she was extremely happy. She basically told me not to worry, and the aforementioned information, as well as she was happy to finally be going home.
I am not afraid to die, I'm just not sure I want to go through the process of dieing. I am 50, f, american white.
may peace be with you
