I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but I'm just curious as to who all of you believe will go to hell. I mean I'm an un-baptized non- believer, so naturally at this point I've been duly informed of my hellish fate, but the reason always varies. I've been told that I’m going to hell because I don't believe in God, the un-baptized thing, I don't go to church, I don't pray everyday and my favorite: because I dye my hair and wear pants... If you are religious do you think that all religious people will go to heaven or just those who chose the "right" religion (your religion no doubt)? Does... I dunno... being a good, kind person have anything to do with it?

Haha... I totally relate. I think I may have you beat though.... I was told that I am going to hell simply because I am a woman. LoL. How do ya like that? Anyhow, I'm in the same boat as you: unbaptized, non-religious (though i do believe in God). It really used to bother me when these religious folks would 'damn' me to hell for these reasons. Then I got to thinking: it's against THEIR religion to judge, so they're just a bunch of hypocrites. Anyhow, when I really stood back and looked, the people who were so fast to condemn me were in all actuality dishonest and often mean people. Just because they belong to a religion, that makes them better than us? I DON'T THINK SO! Just try your best to be an honest, good person and I think you will be fine!

The word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohl´ and its Greek equivalent hai´des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; also the Greek ge´en•na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction. However, both in Christendom and in many non-Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished (and some believe that this is with torment).

Worship that is tied in with confusing teachings about death and the hope for the dead cannot be pleasing to God. How vital then for those who would gain favor and blessings from God to find out what the Bible truly says on such vital matters about the dead.

Romans 3:23 " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God ". We all deserve hell for our sins against God , no matter how nice of a person we are or what we did in our life time .Romans 6:23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord ". No Religion will save you ,Only the word of God will. Romans 10:17 " So then faith cometh by hearing ,hearing by the word of God ". After some one hears the truthful word of God and come to believe Jesus as their personal savior , all their sins will be forgiven ( past, present and future sins ) Isaiah 55:6 " Seek the Lord while he may be found ,call ye upon him while he is near ". Wouldn't you like to spend eternity in Paradise instead of eternal punishment in the searing heat of hell ? Eternal Salvation is a free gift , bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus . It's there for your taking. www.fbbc.com

Those with bad karma, those who have not understood their own sufferings, who have caused others to suffer and who have not done anything to alleviate the suffering of others may suffer for a long time in the next life. But there will be another next life after that, still subject to the same karmic repercussions. Then, finally, union with God. It's unavoidable because God will not fail on you. There are three heavens as there are two astral realms and one final destination. Just be good to others, you'll do fine.

No, Being good has nothing to do with it. Bear with me for a while. How good is good. I mean, i know that none of us are as bad as "that guy" but I mean How good does it take.
Well, God is perfect. And for us to go to heaven, we have to be perfect. So, Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stole? Anything? a pencil, a cookie? That's only two commandments so far, and we're just getting started.

Well, if you have to be perfect, and nobody's perfect, how can we go to heaven?!

There was this one guy. See, the punishment of sin is death. The Bible says this over and over. And He was perfect. Absolutely perfect. No lies, no stealing, Perfect. And He was able to pay my debt of death, on a cross. See, I couldn't pay my debt, because I wasn't perfect, and I couldn't die for your sins, because I was already dying for mine. So, Since I let Him rescue me, and put my sin on His tab, I am counted Perfect, with His perfection.
See, Rejecting Jesus doesn't send me to hell, I was already going there. He just rescued me from it. Lifeguards don't drown people, but if someone rejects a lifeguard's help, they'll drown.

To answer your response: Jesus doesn't save me because I'm good. I'm good because Jesus saved me, and is living inside of me, and is changing me into a person that is kind and graceful and forgiving. But it's not my actions that make me saved. It's not a reward. It's a gift.
It's like if you have a kid. You don't love him because he's good. But your love for him will prompt him towards goodness. Hope that clears things up.

If you don't believe in God, why should he take you to His home in Heaven when you die. I guess that is the bottom line question. I say that in love. But in the end the choice is yours. I dye my hair and wear pants. Any person who tells you that is wrong, if not acting like a Christian or any other Religious group. Don't let them put you down.
