Unfortunately, creationists work by appealing to emotional belief in a specific part of Genesis. Their pseudoscience spreads in churches, not in the classroom. And people unfamiliar with science learn to equate evolution and science to atheism. They reject it on religious principle, not on the evidence. It's sad. Europe (save for Turkey) doesn't have these problems.

Lets face it, if you are going to play the role of ignorant moron you may as well go the whole hog. And this is precisely what creationists do. They deny the most obvious facts to cling to a dcotrine that even on face value is laughably absurd. You could not make this stuff up. No really.

ignorance and a determination to remain ignorant accounts for most of it i reckon. they don't care enough to learn about the science, they prefer their comforting fantasies. ranting at them, although it might allow us vent our frustration, doesn't really help the situation. perhaps we should just ignore them, but then we would be the ones trying to live in a fantasy world, one where everyone is rational and swayed by scientific evidence above all else.

I don't know who those people are...but yah it's ridiculous.
Creationism makes absolutely no sense if you know just a little bit about natural history. Life has existed for atleast 3.7 billion years. So to believe in creationism is like saying God actively creates animals to replace the ones that have gone extinct. Why couldn't God just create animals with, I DUNNO, an ABILITY TO EVOLVE so they can adapt and prosper in a given environment.

Global warming is the world's latest false science.
Advocates have resorted to bullying and threatening scientists who don't support the "consensus". Anyone who has to use intimidation to get a point across obviously has no factual value to offer.
Come to think of it, your question seems to have the same character. I would be happy to help you out, but I don't think you have the ability to think of science in a conceptual manner. You have to get rid of the emotional baggage first.

Evolution means "change over time" and, as Christians, they can't help but to attack it, as anything including "change" must be progressive and therefore a sin.

Well let me put it this way ... I do wonder what sort of marks they got for science class and whether they have ever studied logic?

How does DNA prove evolution? That's a poor claim. how complex is the dna “code” that we carry in every cell of our bodies? does not the complexity and purpose of dna argue for an intelligent writer of the code?
