Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Old Testament
Songs of Solomon Chapter 5 verses 16:
"His mouth is sweet,he is altogether lovely, this is my beloved, this is my friend,oh Daughters of Jerusalem."

Translation Hebrew:
" Hikko Mamittakim Vi Kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraeeh,Bayna Jerusalem"

Notice that the word Muhammad is mentioned in this verses as in it's original language(Hebrew)

John 14:26 "But the COMFORTOR, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

John 16:7-14 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the COMFORTOR will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. Here is proof from Old Testament:

Deuteronomy 18:18 “I (God) will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee (Moses), and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.”

Many Christians believe this prophecy foretold by Moses to be in regards to Jesus. Indeed Jesus was foretold in the Old Testament, but as will be clear, this prophecy does not befit him, but rather is more deserving of Muhammad, may God praise him. Moses foretold the following:

PROOF IN NEW TESTAMENT

John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.” (American Standard Version)

In this verse, Jesus promises that another “Comforter” will appear, and thus, we must discuss some issues concerning this “Comforter.”

The Greek word paravklhtoß, ho parakletos, has been translated as ‘Comforter.’ Parakletos more precisely means ‘one who pleads another’s cause, an intercessor.’[1] The ho parakletos is a person in the Greek language, not an incorporeal entity. In the Greek language, every noun possesses gender; that is, it is masculine, feminine or neutral. In the Gospel of John, Chapters 14, 15 and 16 the ho parakletos is actually a person. All pronouns in Greek must agree in gender with the word to which they refer and the pronoun “he” is used when referring to the parakletos. The NT uses the word pneuma, which means “breath” or “spirit,” the Greek equivalent of ruah, the Hebrew word for “spirit” used in the OT. Pneuma is a grammatically neutral word and is always represented by the pronoun “it.”

All present day Bibles are compiled from “ancient manuscripts,” the oldest dating back the fourth century C.E. No two ancient manuscripts are identical.[2] All Bibles today are produced by combining manuscripts with no single definitive reference. The Bible translators attempt to “choose” the correct version. In other words, since they do not know which “ancient manuscript” is the correct one, they decide for us which “version” for a given verse to accept. Take John 14:26 as an example. John 14:26 is the only verse of the Bible which associates the Parakletos with the Holy Spirit. But the “ancient manuscripts” are not in agreement that the “Parakletos” is the ‘Holy Spirit.’ For instance, the famous Codex Syriacus, written around the fifth century C.E., and discovered in 1812 on Mount Sinai, the text of 14:26 reads; “Paraclete, the Spirit”; and not “Paraclete, the Holy Spirit.”

Why is it important? It is significant because in biblical language a “spirit,” simply means “a prophet.”

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”[3]

It is instructive to know that several biblical scholars considered parakletos to be an ‘independent salvific (having the power to save) figure,’ not the Holy Ghost.[4]

The question, then, is: was Jesus’ parakletos, Comforter, a ‘Holy Ghost’ or a person - a prophet - to come after him? To answer the question, we must understand the description of ho parakletos and see if it fits a ghost or a human being.

When we continue reading beyond chapter 14:16 and chapter 16:7, we find that Jesus predicts the specific details of the arrival and identity of the parakletos. Therefore, according to the context of John 14 & 16 we discover the following facts.

1. Jesus said the parakletos is a human being:
John 16:13 “He will speak.”

John 16:7 “…for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you.”

It is impossible that the Comforter be the “Holy Ghost” because the Holy Ghost was present long before Jesus and during his ministry.[5]

John 16:13 Jesus referred to the paraclete as ‘he’ and not ‘it’ seven times, no other verse in the Bible contains seven masculine pronouns. Therefore, paraclete is a person, not a ghost.

2. Jesus is called a parakletos:
“And if any man sin, we have an advocate (parakletos) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1)

Here we see that parakletos is a physical and human intercessor.

3. The Divinity of Jesus a later innovation
Jesus was not accepted as divine until the Council of Nicea, 325 CE, but everyone, except Jews, agree he was a prophet of God, as indicated by the Bible:

Matthew 21:11 “...This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.”

Luke 24:19 “...Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people.”

4. Jesus prayed to God for another parakletos:
John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another parakletos.”

Mouhammad announced as the last prophet in the Hebraic bible

Deutronome 18:18&19 "this is a prophet like you -Moses (therefore born normally, having ruled his people and died naturally) that I will give rise to, from the middle of their brothers (not of israël sons -isaac descent- but of the brothers of israël sons -ismail descent); I will put my words in his mouth and he will tell them everything I order him to. And if someone does not listen to my words, which the prophet would have said in my name (all the sourates of the Quran starting with In The Name of God ..) , then they will be accountable to me"

Genesis 49:10 "Coming from an ultimate non-Jewish prophet, to whom people owe obedience" (Mouhammad is the last prophet)

Esaïe 29:12 The prophet Esaïe talking about the revelation of a document "it will be given then to the one that does not know how to read (Mouhammad was illiterate!) while saying: Read

therefore this. He replies: I do not know how to read.."

Matt 10:7 "the kingdom of heavens approaches" and not "arrived" as is translated poorly by the TOB (Translation Œ***énique of the Bible) from the original Greek text!!

Matt 20:1/16 "thus the first ones will be the last ones and the last ones will be the first ones" (last revealed religion: Islam) John 14:15 prediction of the coming and the mission of another messenger of God / in the TOB: "the paraclet, the Holy spirit, that the father will send…" is a bad translation of the original Greek "the paraclet, the spirit, the saint, that the father will send…" / error aiming to conform the word of Jesus to the trinitary interpretation (while in the Greek text it is a matter of sending a holy man and not of the Holy Spirit..)

John 15: 26 and 27: "When will have come the comforting one, that I will send to you from the Father, the spirit of truth, that comes from Father, he will testify of me; and you also, you will testify of me, because you are with me as early as the beginning"

John 16:12 and 13: ""I still have a lot of things to say to you, but you can not convey them now. When the Comforting one will come, the spirit of truth, he will guide you in the whole truth; for he will not speak for himself, but he will say all that he would have heard, and he will announce to you the things to come."" the messenger to come will teach us everything that the generation of Jesus could not bear at that time

(ex. banning alcohol);

On the other hand, certain Gospels, censured and declared as apocryphal by the Church cite Mouhammad by name several times

(see for example chapter 39 of the Gospel according to Barnabé www.geocities.com/cest_quoi_lislam/evangilede_barnabe.ht )

Erm, sorry to mess up your whole ideology but actually Jesus (alayhi asalam) said a whole lot about the advent of Prophet Muhammad (sall'Allahu alayhi wasalam) ..... it's just that Christians are too blinded by idol worship (worshipping and idolising Jesus) to see it.

BIBLICAL PROPHECY ON THE ADVENT OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh)

John 14:15-16 -
"If you love me keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father and he will give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever"

Muslim theologians have said that "another Comforter" is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah; and him to "abide forever" means the perpetuity of his laws and way of life and the Book (Qur'an) which was revealed to him.

John 15:26-27 -
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning"

John 16:5-8 -
"But now I go my way to Him that sent me and none of you asketh me, 'Wither goest thou?' But because I have said these things unto you sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth, for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and approve righteousness and judgement"

John 16:12-14 -
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. How be it when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall recieve of mine, and he shall shew it unto you"

John 16:16
"A little while and ye shall not see me: and again a little while, ye shall see me, because I go to the Father"

Muslim theologians have stated that the person who is descibed by Jesus to come after him - in the above verses - does not comply with any other person but Muhammad (pbuh), the Messenger of Allah. This 'person' whom Jesus prophesied will come after him is called in the Bible 'PARQALEETA'. This word was deleted by later interpreters and translators and changed at times to 'Spirit of Truth', and at other times 'Comforter' and sometimes to 'Holy Spirit'. The original word in Greek and its meaning is 'one whom people praise exceedingly'. The sense of the word is applicable to the word 'Muhammad' (in Arabic).
