Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

And for their saying, 'We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, the Messenger of God'. And yet they did not slay him nor did they crucify him, but he was given the resemblance. And those who disagree concerning him are surely in doubt regarding him. They do not have any knowledge of him, only the pursuit of conjecture; and they did not slay him for certain.[4:157]
Nay, God raised him up to Him. God is ever Mighty, Wise.[4:158]
And there is not one of the People of the Scripture but will assuredly believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them.[4:159]
O People of the Scripture, do not go to extremes, in your religion and do not say about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was only the Messenger of God, and His Word which He cast to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say, 'Three'. Refrain, it is better for you. Verily, God is but One God. Glory be to Him, that He should have a son! To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth. God suffices as a Guardian.[4:171]

Literally, He said, "Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachtani" (ie, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" [Mark 15:34]). But what He was doing was preaching from the cross the context of Psalm 22 which was written by King David many centuries earlier. His point was in taking His suffering and delivering a message to those standing around, that God has in fact, not abandoned Him despite appearances (see the end of Psalm 22:24 "he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help"). It was not a big mistake, but just as if you were to quote a movie line or something that answers your reason for being in a particular situation - that everyone would understand (at least the sharp ones) Jesus suffered and died in accord with prophecy, felt the pain, and recognized the divine plan. After all, He was God incarnate, and He would rise from the dead in three days.

He said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." You should not say the things that you say. You can never tell if your life is soon to end and instead of you dying in Christ, you die in sin. All that is left after this life is eternity in Heaven or hell and if you don't died in Christ, you don't go to Heaven. What you said was not funny at the least bit.

He asked the Apostle John to care for Mary his mother. He asked God, His Father in Heaven, to forgive all his ignorant brothers and sisters.
He could get out of it, at any time, but out of love for His Father in Heaven, and for us, Jesus accomplished it with success, becoming The Christ !!!

It's too bad that a serious question is met with inconsiderate attempts at humor, some of them insults to Christ. Romans 14:11. One day everyone will confess that Jesus is Lord, Romans 14:26, and He will judge all those who have lived in this world. Revelation 20:11-15.
Now for the answer to your question:
Matthew 27:45-50 (NIV):
From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
When some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah."
Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. The rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him."
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
Mark 15:33-37 (NIV):
At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
When some of those standing near heard this, they said, "Listen, he's calling Elijah."
One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down," he said.
With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.
Luke 23:32-35 and 39-46 (NIV):
Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
....
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.
John 19: 25-30 (NIV):
Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
