I'm a researcher for my group in our speech class. We are having a panel discussion and our group's topic is "Does God Exist?". I would like your help and your opinion on this subject. It will help my research to have a collection of people's thoughts. Thank you.

my brother in law once prayed cuz i lost the key to my car and he found them. he told me and i think he thought i should be impressed. i was thankfull to get the keys but years later i came to think if he can do that why not do something really worth wile and help little kids who starve to death.
if you pray and dont mention those hundreds of kids each day who starve to death , you suck.

...Humpty Dumpty had a great fall and scattered into fragments. All the kings horsemen and all the kings men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again. Will you piece yourself together again, from division to the undivided? Or will you seek for the kings men and his horse men to do or give you what they can't, for just like Humpty Dumpty whom no man could fix dwelt in perpetual division by looking to others to fix what was his to complete, will you rectify what can only be done within yourself by yourself?

Asking my old question in a different way since people didn't understand.

Why are they trying to prove He doesn't exist, lol? Seems like their agnostic and just looking for answers.

If you quote the old testament to christians they always say "that was b4 christ "etc. so why bother with the old testament at all if they think it was null and void after christ?

Every time I read an article shedding a good light on the islamic religion, my fiance (Jewish) shoots it down and complain's about the religion/people in one way or another. He also dislikes the fact that I find the islamic religion interesting and feel sorry for Palestinian's.

My best friend, which is also a good friend of my fiance's, is a muslim. He tells me of how all his friends back home (in Egypt) are loving people and would never show hatred for someone's religious views. When I speak to him regarding Jewish topics-he has never had anything bad to say (opposed to my fiance).

Who shows more hatred and what are your views from experience?

I'm not trying to go religious or be a smart aleck or anything. This is just one of those things I think up in the shower and wonder, "Hmm...I wonder what Christians say." :-)

If I'm reading that right, it means that I can't ask for a sign. Why not? I'm more than willing to believe, but I've never been given an undeniable, no doubt about it sign that God is real.

I'll be open with you all, I never wanted to become atheist, but life left me no choice. Does this sound familiar to any of you?

"The greatest cause of atheism today is Christians that acknowledge Christ with their lips then turn and walk away."

Note: I am Christian and I agree with it. I do apologize that I do not know who to attribute it to.

They alway show a weak skinny nerd being the virgin and never show a guy who is both mentally and physically strong with good moral values as the virgin. Where did this lie come from? And why does a lot of todays youth buy into it?

I just read for like the eleventeenth time that "the Bible says" that sex is only for procreation and that thus oral sex would be considered by the Bible. It would seem that this came from a non-Christian (poster, forgive me if I am wrong about this). This is clearly *not true*.

Yesterday, I noticed a poster saying that God says that it's better to be with a prostitute than to masturbate. Um, negatori, peeps. The only even *possible* reference to masturbation in all of scripture really more refers to, er, pulling out, sorry to be crass, and says nothing of the kind.

So, Christians, what are some things YOU see non-believers (or believers!) say that the Bible says that you'd like to clear up?

Thanks!
