I am not a muslim but i believe that we are alll created by one Lord. You are not loosing your faith... If you were, you would not even worry about it and pose this question. You are just having a hard time. Talk to your friends, and cheer up: Lord in any name we call him, is there for you, knowing everything and forgiving everything. Little by little you will find your way back in your lifestyle..

You're how old? It's not a trick question. People in their teens and 20s often go through a period when they question their beliefs and their faith. Family and social causes can be part of it. Some of it can be that your recognizing contradictions between faith and practice and the people who say one thing and do another. Sometimes it can be having a liberal bent in a conservative congregation or the other way around. It's pretty normal. Do you have an imam at your mosque you can talk to ? Someone that you trust? Or maybe a wiser uncle or aunt?

Good luck and I hope the rest of your Ramadan season goes a bit more smoothly. I reckon Allah would understand you doing your salat just as you are and love you just the same.

MAISYHAZZY, I think you might be exhibiting symptoms of depression. I would just love to take the opportunity to talk you out of submitting to organized religion at ALL, and to try and encourage you towards thinking about life on freedom of thought ... but it's the wrong time.

Instead of worrying about salats and such and feeling guilty, consider doing something special just for you and see if you can find someone to talk to who has a degree in psychotherapy.

I'm NOT saying you're crazy. Those who are depressed are simply shouldering too many problems and responsibilities and it's paralyzing their ability to concentrate, fulfill obligations and deal with every day life. A kind thing for you to do for yourself is to seek someone to help you through this rough time.

And don't believe those who tell you it's a "test." I HATE that explanation. They have no idea what they're talking about. No God with any sense would torture his children. What good parent would ever do that? But if psychotherapists exist, they are there to be used. And they can help you sort out your feelings and doubts so you can get back on the right track.

Good luck.

If you are a Muslim, why are you using marijuana? You know it's haram. David- I am not mocking anyone, I just asked a simple question. I find it ironic that anyone who practices Islam and is worried about the validity of their prayers would so blatantly violate it's forbiddance of drugs. FYI My husband is Muslim and I am studying Islam. I don't mock Muslims but wish they all practiced their religion properly.

You are not losing your faith..... dont worry.

Everybody has ups and downs and Allah tests people by sending problems and difficulties.

Those whom he loves more get more difficulties and problems and that is why the Prophets had the most difficulites.

Those whom Allah is angry with .......... he makes this world a paradise for them so they go astray and remember Allah very little.

Those who have difficulties come and cry in front of Allah and through these problems Allah swt forgives sins. Our sins bring problems to us and Allah swt makes the difficultes a way of getting forgivness and a way to come closer to him by solving our problems THROUGH him.

If problems are increasing then check your deeds an stay from any sins you are coming near. Increase you good amaal and that will open the doors for the help of Allah.

If a problem comes then increase your amaal and you will see the solutions come with patience and salaat. Allah will test to see how much you can take and build you jannat with the difficulties.

If a problem comes and you decrease your amaal then the problems will double and triple.

HI! OBVIOUSLY YOUR GOING THROUGH AN AGE WHERE TESTINGS PROCESS CAN PUT YOU IN THOUGHTS LIKE THAT, SO ITS ONLY THE EVIL WHO WANT US NOT TO SERIOUS IN ISLAM OR PRAY, SO IF YOU FEEL SOMETHING LIKE THAT JUST CHANGE YOU MIND TO OTHER TOPIC FOR FEW MOMENTS AND SAY ÁUZUBILLAH...... OR READ ''MAUZATEEN'' OR ''AYATUL-KURSI'' MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU.

Your brain is starting to work. If you are lucky one day you may start to think for yourself and be free of religion
