SCAPEGOATING = A tactic often employed is to characterize an entire group of individuals according to the unethical or immoral conduct of a small number of individuals belonging to that group, also known as guilt by association.

"The efficiency of the truly national leader consists primarily in preventing the division of the attention of the people, and always in concentrating it on a single enemy." Adolf Hitler, in "Mein Kampf".

Al Quaeda is not "nearly chocked off", though it has pretty much ceased to exist as a single organized entity. Most of its funding has been frozen and many of its founders have been captured, killed, or driven into hiding. What we have now is a whole lot of cells and gangs calling themselves "Al Qaeda"...though they have become more of an anti-Shiite group than an anti-American one. Their primary targets these days are Shiite neighborhoods and civilians, and the Shiites naturally form their own groups to fight back.

Guess who's caught in the middle? Right. Shiites, Sunnis, and the US Military.

The "war on terrorism" is NOT a war on Islam, as some would have you believe. It is a war on hatred. Of course, it's awfully hard to fight a mindset, especially when every death seems to infuriate those who would become terrorists even more. But we can't just sit back and let them continue to attack, can we?

We half-heartedly swatted at them for twenty-two years (since 1979, look it up), and look where it got us. If we didn't try to fight them, there'd be another 9/11, and a 10/11, 11/11, 12/11, 1/11, 2/11... not just in the U.S., but EVERYWHERE. There have been terrorist attacks all over Africa, in the UK, in Spain, in India...

But you don't want to listen to reason, do you?

And no, Muslims have NOT "nearly chocked off" Al Qaida OR their supporters, even though some Muslims have denounced their actions.

I feel like the US is scapegoat for Muslims inabilty to feed their own people and genocide to their own people. The Taliban is horrible to their own muslims and all they do is get their people hooked on Heroin for the money.
