I'm a researcher for my group in our speech class. We are having a panel discussion and our group's topic is "Does God Exist?". I would like your help and your opinion on this subject. It will help my research to have a collection of people's thoughts. Thank you.

In response to your open ended question... Does God Exist? The idea of God exists therefore in a metaphorical term he does exist either as a thought or a reality. The real question is not does God exist but what is God? If you look up ancient terms for God it was a plural word talking about many Gods, you always have the Sumerian mythology which I find to be the most informative about our creation. "The Lost Book Of Enki" by Zecharia Sitchin, if you ever read anything in your life about creation I highly advise you read this book.

First define "existence" and what are it's parameters. Then examine the question of God visa vis those parameters and conclude whether God exists or not.Avoid meta physical approach as anything and every thing can be proved or disproved by that approach,as we don't use logic or rationality in meta physical discussions.

I used to ask my father that when I was a kid and he always said "you never know"..

But, the existence of a God as written in the Bible is a bit too much to believe. It's like believing in ghosts.
Most that believe, do it out of fear, which is the way the Bible teaches. Believe in God or you'll go to Hell. So I think they hedge their bets..just in case. Many other reasons too as there are so many unanswered questions.

If you consider that there are many universi and we have no idea how many, we are still trying to figure out the final seconds before the implosion that created the earth and other things in our own universe.

I'm an atheist, but still say, that something ..?? started it all, it didn't just happen, that's just as bad as thinking God exists because the Bible says so.

So, I believe there is something, not God, but something.

With all my heart, might, mind and strength, I believe and I testify that God does exist. Who do you think made you????GOD
Who listens and answers our prayers?GOD
Who shows us the right pathway?
GOD
Who is always there when we're feeling down?
GOD etc.
If you pray and ask the Holy Ghost this question, he will answer your prayers and bless you with the power of the Holy Ghost that he does exist and you will feel the warmth.

I know the church is true, I know that there is a living God and that he does answers our prayer. He answers them in many different ways and I know that if you pray too, you will feel his companion, the Holy Spirit, because I felt it too and so did other people. I know Gordon B Hinckley is a true prophet of God and that Joseph Smith revealed the gospel in the first vision. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I belong to "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints."

My belief that a god exists, isn't based on religion, it's based on what I observe, and read about the universe, and it's beginning. For example: The laws of physics, where did they come from, another universe? (as in multiverses) maybe there are different laws in different universes, but if there are many universes, where did they come from? and so on, if there was no beginning to the universe...perhaps theirs a god without beginning. When we can understand infinity, we are god.

That is a dangerous topic! Any discussions, or more likely arguments, will be fruitless as no one can prove or disprove the existance of god(s).

Yes, he lives next to Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. Sheesh people, we have a clear picture of the evolution of religion from polytheistic and pantheistic to our modern day religions. Even Hinduism outdates Judaism. It's time to move on.

Well , does the wind blow? Yes, it does you cant see it but you can feel it.

Can we see your brain? No, but we know you have one, right!!

If you look at the creation, we can see that there is a God but we cant see him.

God made all of us to love and that's one big sign that God does exist.
