Seventh-day Adventists celebrate the Sabbath from sundown Friday until sundown Saturday. It really is a very special time for Adventists throughout the world. The denomination has nearly 15 million members worldwide. It is an international Christian church that values the teachings of Jesus and the significance of the Sabbath.

Different Christian churches and religions celebrate the Sabbath differently. What are some of the ways that you celebrate the Sabbath? What makes the Sabbath day special to you?

The Bible says in Exodus 20:8

"Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy".

I believe we can.

The Muslims are trying:
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,301116,00.html

What can we as Christians (and Yahwists) do to extend the hand of friendship to our brothers and sisters who follow the teaching of Muhammed?

I will start by saying there is a difference between the regular Muslim and the extremist. Much like in christianity there is a difference between a regular believer and the KKK or christian white supremists.

Secondly I will say we worship god Allah, Yahweh, different names for the same God.

I'm sure I'm tick some people off of my own faith but I don't care about that. It's time to quit fighting and starting making things better for everyone.

Thoughts?

I have never heard of any violence associated with this religion, nor any "persuasion" by any Buddhist to convert to their religion or visit their temple ;) (there are many buddhists where I live). Seems like a religion that actually serves its purpose.

ME!!! I"m an undisputable miracle 100 times over. Need more proof? There are millions and millions just like me.
Still need more... you're looking high and low for proof or mostly disproof that there is a God but it's right in front of you. YOU are the proof that there is a God. You know it's true but you hate the idea. That's okay. It's still true.
Oh, yeah...my question is how's life working out for you?

Or when they are in hell do they have to be good and read the bible which they'd probably hate?

I just wonder if they will be allowed to continue to be naughty or will they have to be nice or will they just have to sit there.

What is hell like for a bad person?

I've been reported(and deleted) for simply questioning your beliefs, do you not like people asking questions before accepting your view on things? Or are you simply scared of having your faith challenged?

I keep my questions and answers private to keep down the report nazis, but when I think there is no best answer or I don't want to pick one because of my own bias I put it to vote. Thank you for showing me such great courtesy. I'm sure jesus would approve.

A lot of people balk at the mention of ghosts, esp. and other paranormal phenomena. I can understand people not believing in this but what I have trouble understanding are the religious and or spiritual people that balk at this.

Do you believe in paranormal phenomena (e.g. ghosts and esp) and are you religious and or spiritual? Also what are your reasons?

If the Government would keep "secret" testimonies from veteran pilots regarding "UFO" sightings, what makes you think they wouldn't conceal pertinent information about Jesus too and be selective as to "which" scientists they listen to (always the ones who don't believe in God).

How can Christians justify forgiveness of someone and then turn around and demand that person pay the penalty of transgression? How do you justify the way you forgive?

A growing body of anecdotal evidence seems to support the possibility that millions of American Christians are currently the victims of some sort of nefarious mind-control project being orchestrated by the fascist economic elite, with the full support of members of the US Government and both major political parties.

Documents released through the freedom of information act long ago established that the Federal government vigorously researched and experimented with brainwashing and mind control during the cold war. Leading occult experts have also uncovered disturbing circumstantial evidence that many right-wing political elites practice dark path socery. Could these two forces have somehow combined to create this current generation of American fundamentalist christians who walk through life in a dream state of logical inconsistancy, single-mindedly determined to help impose Theocracy upon the United States and the world?

Can you remember when you first got saved that everytime you heard the word of God preached, you either cried, or maybe lifted your hands and just praised God for his word? Can you remember when you first got saved how you wanted everyone to know Jesus, like you knew him now?
Can you remember when you first got saved how you could not wait to get to church to hear more of God's word?
Are you still like this?
