It depends on what point of view you're coming from or your stature in life. A mother or father would give anything to give their child happiness. For instance, their time working if need be, 1 or 2 part time jobs along with their mainstay employment to be able to put presents under a tree at Christmas. That's just the tip of the iceberg here. I've noticed answers in this post where some wouldn't sacrifice anything for another. Well perhaps that's their right from their point of view. But they may have never seen the look of a sad child who had nothing and expected nothing and got nothing because no one cared. Giving is not a sacrifice when it means love...not ever....under any circumstance....

Feeling 'unhappy' ! :-)))

Think about it peeps, I know that Digilook 'knows' exactly what I mean. :-)

Actually there isn't anything that we either could or should do to 'make' others happy, because it isn't anyone's 'job' to make anyone else anything. However, the meaning of my opening words was in the 'Intent' of doing/being my 'bit' in order to create the circumstances in which more people within my sphere of experience can experience more happiness ..... I think ? :-)))

Try this little experiment at some point(s) during the day. With one person that you encounter, and completely at random, behave in a happy and jolly way, smile and say something nice and/or complementary, and observe how they respond to your manifestation.

Then, at some other point, try being outwardly grumpy, and say something a little 'rude', nothing too offensive, I wouldn't want to get anyone into trouble, but just mildly negative, and watch that response.

Now, who is creating your 'reality' ???

I'd be willing to give up all mainstream media news outlets. The drive-by media has caused so much unhappiness and points out all the world's unhappy circumstances. In fact, the world would be a better place for them if during a news cycle, there would be catastrophes, murder and terrorists bombing anyone and everyone.

Just think how others would feel if they didn't have to watch and listen to their liberal junk-talk.

Sadness. You cannot give what you don't have, so that you could not make other people happy if you yourself is miserable. Your environment and the people around you is your reflection. They mirror your deepest thoughts, aspirations and feelings. So, the best thing to do is to figure out first if you are happy or not and everything will just fall inot place.

R.D. Laing opens his book, The Politics of Experience with:

"I like to have fun, getting you to have fun is hard work, then I don't have fun"

I totally agree, if you are asking about this "happy" , I would not go there.

If you are talking about true happiness, the happiness that passeth all happiness, and is not about any thing, any body and any pursuit, then I would give my heart.

True happiness is living in the heart of love.

I wouldn't give anything up, if I did, then I wouldn't have to share with others, No one can sacrifice himself for others, one has to do what he can with what he has, there really is no reason to be unhappy, your state of mind is what governs your life, and if you can't even try to live life the way it should be lived, then why would you ask others to give something up for you?

A little bit of self esteem sometimes, it helps calm the waters and I have more than enough to go around

In order to make all the truely unfortunate people happy (that is... poverty, war, famine, pestilent stricken etc.) I would be willing to give up all my worldly luxuries.
