Actually, there's quite a difference. The prophet Daniel had a vision, where different kings and rulers appeared as terrible monsters. The last of these LOOKED like a man, but was a beast in disguise. Then, God sent a true and just ruler - not the son of beasts, but the son of man. In the ancient world, many religions believed that anyone who accomplished great feats in their lives must be a son of the gods. In Israel, "Son of God" was a title given to holy people. To the ancient Jews, there were many sons of God of this type(heroes). Christians today believe that Jesus of Nazareth was both the Son of Man (sent by God to rule over us) and also the Son of God in two senses - literally, as born of the Holy Spirit, and also as an honorary title, for his holiness.

Is there a difference?
....I think not.
The insanity of it all is beyond anyone's comprehension. It goes around in circles, since the bible was written by men, anything that it says that God said is said by men. You can go around in circles with it all day, but the truth of the matter is that man made God as a way to deal with our pitiful existence.
And as for prophets, just because they hear voices doesn't mean that they hear God. In fact, if it did, all schizophrenic people are prophets!

The story-tellers putting the legend together knew there was no difference but you try telling a True Believer™ that and they’ll adamantly insist that invisible men in the sky really do exist.

God said is usually from the Bible.
Man said is usually tradition or things people make up as they go along, or it fits within their man made ideas. Many today are making a religion in their own way, not God's way.

I agree with Don.
Jeremiah 33:3 God said, call on me and I will answer thee and show you great and mighty things.
If you want to know what God says - Ask God. He speaks to me.
God calls Himself the Good Shepherd and God says "My sheep hear My voice."

The former is what mohammad dictated to his secretary (as he was illiterate) and it came to us as the koran. The latter is what the chosen women and men of God were 'inspired' to write about The Most High God, which is the Bible.

..... Simple....!
(Numbers 23:19) God = = is not a man = = that He should lie, = = neither the son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
AND.....
(Romans 1:18-to-23) For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
(Rom 1:19) because the thing which may be known of God is clearly revealed within them, for God revealed it to them.
(Rom 1:20) For the unseen things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being realized by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, for them to be without excuse.
(Rom 1:21) Because, knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, neither were thankful. But they became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
(Rom 1:22) Professing to be wise, they became fools
(Rom 1:23) and changed the glory of the incorruptible God = into an image made like = = corruptible man, = = and birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.
Thanks, RR
