I live in ARGENTINA and the ice caps are melting, nobody is sure how long, because its faster every year, and yes it changes things alot, there's places that are now flooded and others dried up, just look at the world wide news and we can see what really happening with so many weather changes and disasters.
Take care

The fact that we can actually navigate the northern sea should be proof enough. The ice-caps are melting faster than anyone has predicted, and nations are lining up, according to Time Magazine, to claim their region of the North Pole and gain the oil and traffic opportunities that seem abundant there. Just ten years ago, that little area was worthless, now Russia and Canada are calling for the US to rewrite the sea laws to allow them to grab the assets waiting in the freshly-cleared once-icy ocean.

There are a number of different hypotheses. One, here: http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/09/no_more_arctic.php estimates that the caps will be gone between 2030 and 2035.

Things are changing, but there is no guarantee that things will be as dire as predicted. Hopefully, we'll do what we can on our part to prevent such a disaster.

ONCE AGAIN....

Global Warming MEANS "World Wide Warming!" It is ONLY A Political Term = NOT based in Real Science!

The EARTH is covered by "Three Quarters WATER!" Basic Science, it takes ONE-Btu to raise One Cubic Centimeter ONE Degree Centigrade!

HOW many "Gazillion Cubic Centimeters are there ONLY on the Surface of Planet Earth COVERED by 3/4 Water?"

HOW many Btu's would it take TO RAISE THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE ONE DEGREE?

DO THE MATH!

And, were are the Million TEMPERATURE MEASURING SITES on the Many Oceans THAT TELL US THAT THE OCEAN TEMPERATURES ARE RISING? Not!

Oh yes, POLAR temperatures have varied LESS Than one degree in the past 100-Years. Noticed I said VARIED, = NOT RISEN!

Thanks, RR

The global warming crowd says our glaciers are melting and animals will suffer this is another false claim.

this past couple of years' measurements suggest it is happening even faster than the previous "worst'case" scenarios.
