Like, would there be a situation where ol' Jesus is chillin up on the 2nd floor balcony (inside), hears the front door slam, strolls over to the railing to look down into the foyer area, then exclaims "Oh snap, keg's here! F yeah!!!" while making a beeline towards said pole?

Indeed.

My confession:
I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.
It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, "Merry Christmas" to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a crche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away .
I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period.

Countles Native Americans have experienced visions where they spoke to the animal spirit guides, and were immediately more mature and responsible afterward.

Is this proof that they were real?

How do you know you are not mistaken your animal guide for angels or God?

If churches were taxed for all their income and property, they’d crumble overnight of their own obsolescence, and the National Debt would be wiped out as quickly. The productive, the creative, the resourceful should be subsidized. So long as the useless and incompetent are getting paid, they should be heavily taxed.

In his school they keep trying to teach him that we "evolved" from a bunch of monkeys even though the Bible CLEARLY states that we was created by God.

All my life, I have people saying this to me, because I always do my best to try to understand other people, and always end up forgiving who hurt me. This doesn't mean that all is well, and that I want who hurt me (or others) around me again, only that I really always try to understand.

How do you feel about this?

Thank you for the ideas!

Just to let you know, I am christian, and I don't have a problem with anybody being homosexual. I'm just interested on your opinions of the matter, because we're having a debate about it at school, and i think it would be good to get some other opinions about it. I am aware that it never says in the bible that there should be no homosexuals, but people all have different opinions, and my debate focuses a lot on christian's view of homosexuality - just looking for opinions here!! (sorry for so much writing, but some people can be quite touchy on the matter, and i don't mean to stereotype, or offend)

We have evidence. We have the Bible. We have the Holy Spirit which gives us a feeling that is undeniable. Faith is not belief without evidence. The evidence may be emotional and in the heart, but it IS evidence.

What do you think?

Most are becoming huge Best Sellers like, "The God Delusion, Letter to a Christian Nation, God is Not Great and Atheist Universe." My question is, why do you think people are suddenly becoming so interested in Anti-Religious books and Atheism?

Like he did when he gave the 10 commandments, or when he wiped out the earth with a flood, then why did he need to send his son to die? Why couldn't he just demand a repentant spirit? It seems kind of unnecessary and gruesome. The animal sacrifices were infinitely less evil, and demanded an actual sacrifice on part of the sinner.

OK, give me your best shot! I'm a Pagan, I don't believe in the bible being the only truth.

Try to convince me otherwise, here are the rules:
No quoting the bible AT ALL
No speak of hell and eternal suffering
None of that "I feel it is right" or "God did this in my life"
No "God told me" or "God/Jesus says.."
You may only use 100% provable facts (Cite your source, links prefered)
No "read the bible" stuff (I have twice already)
And NO Opinionated sites
Only cold, hard, provable facts (The old "we exist" and "look at everything around you" bits are not acceptable)

10 points to whoever has the best argument, and yes a christian answer will be picked. You won't convert me but I want to see who can put forth the best effort.

Think of it as a friendly contest. No bashing each other please!

I know it seems silly, but I do. Right before my mom got hit by a car she had a tarot reading that said 'danger in the streets'. Also, right before she had me a tarot reading said she would get pregnant. And right before my Aunt died the cards said that she would lose a loved one.

Thoughts?

I think a Christian that takes depression pills is a contradiction. Since Christians are supposed to depend on God when they have problems like that.

I Corinthians 10:2-4, "And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink, for they drank of that spiritual Rock that FOLLOWED THEM: and that Rock was Christ".

FOLLOWED THEM WHERE? WAS IT OUT OF EGYPT?

Exoduus 13:21 says, And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.

This is the Rock upon which the church is built. The Spiritual
Rock of revelation through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Deuteronomy 32:39, "See now that I, even I AM, he, and
there is no God besides me". Why are some trying to add another God??

Hear O Israel the Lord our God is ONE Lord! Our God is ONE!!

Thanks and God Bless You All!!

I would think knowing about how the Christian church began, how the Bible was compiled, who compiled the Bible and early Christian beliefs would behoove anyone who claims to be Christian. But apparently, this only seems to be important to Catholics. I guess that's why they are Catholic, rather than some other form of Christianity which began anytime from the 16th century to the present time.

God rested on the Sabbath, before there were humans, before there were Jews, and before the Ten Commandments were given to the Israelites by Moses, so ALL people should observe the Sabbath, right?

Why do Christians fail to honor the Sabbath day? Which is Saturday.

Ok....in the episode, a patient tells House that when he had a car accident, he "died" for a minute and saw "an afterlife", with God/Jesus and everything. House, being an atheist, stuck a knife in an electric socket and died too for over a minute. He was reluctant at first to tell if he "saw anything", but at the end of the episode, revealed he hadnt and that there was nothing. Thoughts??

To everyone that claims to be a true Christian, Why do you attend church on Sunday instead of the true biblical sabbath.....Saturday? Why do so many Christians break the 4th commandment every week?
