Because it doesn't matter. The Old Testament is a Jewish document that was superseded by the New Testament.

I was trained and have several degrees but no one ever showed me some important facts until recently.
One fact is that the ten commandments are still in effect because they show us the standard of what sin is. That is Pauls whole argument in the whole book of Romans. I did not get told that. I thought that they ended when Jesus died and now we just have love God and our neighbour as ourself. However the Mosaic law of ceremonies is done away but Moses law and the moral law are continually separated in the New Testament.
The Moral Law tells us Gods standards on what God desires and how to treat each other. Having said that looking into the Old Testament as to Gods future Kingdom there will continue to be a keeping of the true Sabbath because it is a sign.
Signs are important. Marriage is a sign... it is important.
Now the reason most Christians like me never questioned this is like asking why don't most Christians question the heretical chapter two of the book of Rick Warrens "The Purpose Driven Life."
There he makes God into the devil responsible for evil and good.
Most people who Call themselves Christians are satisfied to read a book about the Bible instead of the Bible. They are not trained to research things in the Bible, like use crossferences and concordances.
I found this truth recently. I then looked in my favorite church history book and found that the church worshiped on Sabbath, Saturday up until the fifth century.. until that Catholic confusion set in mixing pagan practices with truth.
It is never to late to change as I did.
I think it shows honesty, maturity and humility. All valued by a Mennonite like me.

why is everything sunday???the world is out of step with the creator....
actually the death of Jesus on the cross fulfilled the old testament laws...it did not cancel the ten commandments...his Resurrection sunday morning did not create a new worship day...
the Sabbath is the Sabbath....

I do honor the Sabbath. I do as the commandment says to do...I rest, and I do not require anyone else to work for me. That is, I do not go to restaurants, I do not go grocery shopping...I don't even go gas up the car, since these are unnecessary tasks that someone else has to do for pay.
All of this begins at sundown on Friday night and lasts till sundown on Saturday night...which would mean that if I were go to church on Saturday night, I would be breaking the Sabbath.
Amazingly, lots of folks don't seem to realize that the fourth commandment is all about a day of rest...both for the individual, and also his family, his servants, his animals...even strangers who might be residing nearby. They actually go to church on that sacred day...they go to restaurants, they go shopping, they go buy gasoline...and some of them even actually go to evening church, thinking, somehow, that it is still the Sabbath. I think it might be because they don't read and study God's word for themselves...possibly they believe whatever they might be hearing from behind the pulpit. I know, I know...it sounds ridiculous, when we have God's own word to guide us...but some people are like that, I guess.
Me???
Oh, I only worship God on days that end in "y"...

I agree, I am a SDA. The Catholic Church admits that it changed the Sabbath to Sunday, contrary to any specific command in the Bible. Sunday worship was enforced by the 4th century, and it was carried on as a tradition for centuries, even beyond the Reformation. That is why most Protestant churches today worship on Sunday, and don't even know why. Even their reasons for continuing to keep this day are scripturally weak at best.

Your premise is wrong.
Adam and Eve were created the day before.
God rested from his work on that seventh day and blessed / sanctified THAT seventh day.
To conclude from this we are all supposed to keep the sabbath is eisegetical.
God does not leave things hanging for us to assume we should do or not do. This methodology is a sure way to find yourself believing falsehoods.
The sabbath as a commanded day of rest was given to Israel and was to be a special sign between God and Israel. If all mankind were supposed to be keeping it as you conclude, then the sabbath could not be this special sign between God and Israel.

Because Christian do not truly observe the OT Sabbath. Rather, they observe on Sundays as it was on a Sunday that Jesus purportedly rose.
In reality, the Christian practice is the correct practice according to the OT (ie not observing the Sabbath on Saturday). The Sabbath is call a 'sign' of the covenant between God and the Jews. As Christians are not party to that covenant, they should not observe 'signs' of it.

If those who disagree that there is still a Sabbath to keep would answer this question then I would like to know what it means?
Isa.66:22-24
For just as the new heavens and the new earth which I make will endure before Me, declares YHWH, So your offspring and your name will endure.
And it shall be from new moon to new moon and from Sabbath to Sabbath , ALL mankind will come to bow down before Me, says YHWH.
This is referring to the future reign of Christ on earth and new moon to new moon means the calender will be Jewish lunar and now look..Sabbath to Sabbath...
The book of Hebrews says there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God..????

We don't, dear one. The fellowship I attend has Saturday AND Sunday services.
Do you honor the Sabbath? Or do you just prefer to bash Christians?
God bless!

When Christianity officially split from Judaism, they felt that they had to have a feature which was different to Judaism which meant that they could become a separate religion rather than a branch of Judaism, so they changed the sabbath day to Sunday, from Saturday.
Hope this helps

Actually, with the death of Jesus, we ceased to be under the Mosaic Law. Therefore, we are not under obligation to observe the Sabbath that was required under the Mosaic Law Covenant. Hope this helps. Email me if you want specific scriptural references: myonesimus@yahoo.com
