The eternal nature of hell is stressed in the New Testament. For example, in Mark 9:47–48 Jesus warns us, "It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched." And in Revelation 14:11, we read: "And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever; and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name."

Hell is not just a theoretical possibility. Jesus warns us that real people go there. He says, "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matt. 7:13–14).

How can some Christians not accept the fact that Jesus taught about hell?

Isn't that a violation of community guidelines? If someone has a genuine question about my faith, I'm happy to answer. I won't trash anyone else's beliefs, nor would I expect them to trash mine. Can we have a mature exchange of ideas without resorting to insults and ridicule?

The Bible, Revelation- Chapter 1, Verses 14 and 15, say Jesus had 'woolly' hair and feet that was burnt like a furnace. The only people on this Earth with "woolly" hair are Black American and African People. The inside of a burnt furnace is black. Therefore, Jesus was Black. Amazing. Here's a History website that lends to this fact.

Do you think that it will be the final end time? It has been predicted by several people. The Mayans, oracles, Prophets in the Bible, and by the web. Do you think that God will rapture his faithful that day? OR do you think it is just another guess?

Most Protestants seem to be fine with other denominations of Protestants, but a lot seem to think Catholics arent as Christian as they are.

If you're Protestant, do you consider Catholics to be Christian, same as Methodists or Baptists or Episcopalians? If not, why not?

I've heard some of the arguments, but it mostly seems to boil down to "Catholics do more than you have to in order to get salvation", which doesnt seem like a good reason for Catholics to not get it....

I do not use foul language-my answers are perhaps in disagreement with a YA's question position-but they are reasoned, non-threatening, and yet so many times my answer is removed. I find it unfair the YA removes answers because someone who does not like that answer hit's report it. Are some of y'all out there so afraid of honest debate that you want to repress any dissent to your position?

First, a few short definitions are in order:
Theist: one who believes in the existence of a God or gods.
Hard atheist: one who believes that God does not exist.
Soft atheist: one who lacks a belief in a God or gods.

The God hypothesis:
Claim A: God exists.
Claim B: God does not exist.

From the definitions above, theists adhere to claim A, hard atheists adhere to claim B, and soft atheists adhere to neither.

In a rational discussion of the God Hypothesis:
Theists must shoulder the burden of proof fro claim A. if they fail, God is not shown to exist, but God is not necessarily shown not to exist either. Hard atheists must shoulder the burden for claim B. If they fail, God is not shown to not exist, but neither is he shown to exist. Soft atheists have no burden of proof as they have made no claim of belief. They simply lack a belief in God's existence.

So, does anyone disagree with the burdens of proof as I have laid them out here?

The heading is "Israel may OK division of Jerusalem." The Palestinians do not want a nation of Palestine and they do not want statehood. And they definitely do not want peace with Israel. It is East Jerusalem and the Lord is coming through that eastern gate. Prophecy continually unfolds.

I'm tired of hearing from other people that Catholics are not right because they worship idols and statues of Mary and saints etc! Let me get it straight, Catholics do not bow down to these statues, they are just a Holy decoration! And just because we say the Hail Mary prayer does not mean that we are bowing down to the Mary statues! It is beginning to to get really annoying when other Christians on here state the 10 Commandments and say Catholics are breaking the 10 Commandments! Any other Catholics agree with me!!!

I was thinking... what if the person who rejects Jesus gets a custom made and special hell set just for them? Think of your biggest fears, the things you hate, the worst pain you can experience, multiply it by 10000000000000+.

It could be the fear of the dark, hights, monsters, clowns, etc...

WHATEVER YOU HATE AND FEAR THE MOST WILL BE WITH YOU FOR ETERNITY!!!

Maybe fire could be symbolic for the pain and fear you have for whatever it is your afraid of.

Lucky for me, I fear nothing :) So hell will be paradise for me. Hehe. And I believe in Jesus. In fact, I believe in every mythological creature. Its great, and I live a good life. Hell, ooh, I mean heaven, here I come!

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Has this happened yet? Or is it in the process of happening?

I found this answer to my last question to be interesting. I'd like to see what your responses are to it. Thanks!

"In physics we allow logic to assert the existence of particles smaller than an atom despite the fact that we cannot see them through any microscope. We know they are there because we can observe the effects they have on other, larger particles. And we allow that to be called logical thinking.

"Yet a religious person who observes the changes in their lives and the effects that faith has on others' lives and concludes there must be something more is called illogical. That inconsistency is itself a logical fallacy that moderna nd postmodern people perpetuate for reasons unknown to me. But I tend to think God has a sense of humor about it all, something we rarely, if ever, allow for!"

Is it ever acceptable to conform to society when previously held biblical beliefs are proved false or just no longer socially acceptable? Take for example, arranged marriage. Is there a commandment in the bible that says christians should no longer practice this? Or did you just conform? What will happen when it is no longer widely acceptable to persecute people because of their sexuality? Will you conform or stick to your biblical beliefs?

If I think I'm hearing God's voice, how can I be sure that it's His voice, and not my mind hallucinating?

Please do not answer this question if you're an atheist, otherwise I will give you a thumbs-down.

We are teaching in schools about evolving and all that. But there is no evidence of it. See the problem is that we have humans and apes nothing inbetween. So, therefore it takes Faith 2 believe it. But Faith is not allowed in schools. That's why Christain's are persecuted in schools. What do you think?

And do you think the Bible should be put back in school, the ten commandment? 14yrs olds r having sex and becoming dad's and they dun't wanna. With the Bible they could learn about not doing that and we'd have less problems.

What are your thoughts?

Revelations 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Revelations 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Are these two riders on white horses the same personage?

The Bible says PROV 19 v 21 People may plan all kinds of things but the Lords will is going to be done.I read Deuteronomy 31 v 19 and God says that the people will get the food they want but they will turn and worship other Gods.So God knew what they were going to do.
Romans 9v14 God said to Moses I will have mercy on anyone I wish 16 So then everything depends not on what man wants or does but only on God's mercy.Read the rest of Romans from that point. It proves God is running this show.GOD IS IN CONTROL>HE IS THE BOSS>GOD IS WAY MORE AWESOME THAN WE CAN EVEN COMPREHEND
