Absolutely. Hey, what was considered good by our wise forefathers, that being religious instruction in our schools and influence on the legislative process, who established the American government, is certainly good for us. Even Thomas Jefferson said so. He said, "The only foundation for useful education in a republic is to be laid in religion."
So, why are we so far from what they established? It really comes down to a Supreme Court spurious ruling back in 1947 that got the secular ball rolling. And, that sadly passed while Christians did nothing, other than staying fast asleep! The doctrine of the wall of separation between church and state was not found in the US Constitution, but from a phrase found in a Jeffersonian letter written to a Connecticut Baptist congregation that were allegedly being denied their religious freedom of speech! So the phrase was being used by Jefferson not to keep religion out of the affairs of the government, but just the opposite! So, obviously, the Supreme Court's interpretation was quite a stretch! And, we are still falling for it today, basically because of secularists' (i.e., NEA) hold on and diet of propaganda fed to American youth in our public schools.

Too bad for you there is evidence of evolution. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called SCIENCE. And also too bad for you, no one ever said "Humans come from apes with nothing in between." There absolutely was "something in between." My dear, when you are ignorant of a topic, you ought not post about it on YA. People will not respect your asininity.
And if schools were to enforce christianity, why should they also not enforce other religions? After all, this is America, where the separation of church and state has to treat all religions equally.
And perhaps, the bible's 10th commandment should be put back into CHURCH before it gets implemented in schools. When priests go around touching little boys, how can anyone expect little girls not to do the same?

I think having kids take Sex-Ed is far more helpful than the Bible.
There were plenty of teenage pregnancies when prayer and the bible were allowed in schools - why do you think there was so many shotgun weddings. Since parents could get their teens married off in a quick enough fashion it looked socially acceptable but they forget that people have the ability to count.
There are solid facts that support evolution, enough to make it the most accepted theory of how we came to be. Is it perfect - no. Is it complete - no, but that's the great thing about science.. one advancement is always the stepping stone to the next. Science has the ability to admit its mistakes which is something religion rarely, if ever, does.

No proof of Evolution? Please site you proof of that. I on the other hand don't want to take up a lot of room with the proof of it, several sites have been mentioned above.
If you don't carry you Faith with you, it's not up to the schools to help you keep track of it.
Other that preaching "The Word" to those who wan to hear it and moving on when people choose not to, your relationship with you God is supposed to be personal, one on one, thus the School doesn't need to even know you ARE Christian.
You are not being persecuted, you are just out of sorts because the playing field is being leveled out and you don't feel "Special" anymore.
Look Jethro, if you want children to learn proper sexual morals and standards, fund decent Sex Education classes, so they can learn the nuts and bolts about what comes of having sex when you are not physically, mentally, and financially prepared for it.
If you want the Bible and the 10 commandments in a school setting, then go to a privately funded Christian school.

I'm trying to figure out if you're a troll or just kidding. If not, I can ASSURE you that there is ample evidence of evolution in all species including humans. In this age of the internet and Google, with so much factual information at your fingertips, it's just plain lazy not to learn more about our world by reading the results of scientific enquiry. But be warned that science is for adults and it doesn't encourage us to think in terms of black and white, because the real world isn't black and white.
Whoever is teaching you that there is no evidence of evolution probably has an agenda and it probably involves getting your money or your mind.

retard, i have to say you couldn't have chosen a more appropriate avatar name. Evolution has been proven, you see it happening around you everyday. People who advocate teaching creationism and faith based fairy tales in school forget many crucial points:
1. Creationism is not science, not proven, no evidential support. It really is a fairy tale if you take out the 'god told me in a dream' part of it
2. Very cruicial point is the fact that everyone DOE NOT believe what you believe. It is arrogant and ignorant to think that because you believe something, everyone else does. Also very egocentric. You will understand what i mean if schools chose to teach the islamic version of creation to your christian child.
3. Education is about expanding the mind, giving the mind options. It is NOT, teaching kids what YOU want them to believe. An educated person knows all that is out there and then chooses what to believe and also takes it one step further. Children are not empty templates waiting to imbibe what's in our heads and carry that for the rest of their lives. They are active minds that need exposure to all the data out there in order to take it further and invent and think up more useful theories
4. The only acceptable arguement to teaching creationism is when it is taught as a myth, along with creation stories of all other major religions and some of the minor ones. Again, soley as a myth because faith may fly in church but in school, it is really just an obstacle to learning

There is evidence of humans evolving.
"14yrs olds r having sex and becoming dad's and they dun't wanna. With the Bible they could learn about not doing that and we'd have less problems."
What do you mean becoming dads??! Its the two that have their lives ruined. In most cases the woman, they have to give birth because some pro-life parents won't let the two teenagers get their lives back. The woman and the man don't to be want to parents. Its both way and sometimes the man leaves the woman to her ruined life. Its the Christians that attack other people, I said I didn't believe in your "God" and THEY said I worship Satan which I don't even believe. The bible is putting a dirty sexist nasty book into the lives of people who don't know better. The bible won't stop sex. Sorry I forgot to proof read. I never did anything evil and I was raised Cathlic.

Dear Retard,
Faith is absolutely allowed in schools. However, you are forbidden from imposing your faith on others. If you want religion in our schools, it must be a combination of all religions. Are you will to learn about Hinduism, Wicca, Buddhism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism? If not, it might be better to let sleeping dogs lie.
I'm so sorry about the persecution of Christians. As a Jew, I can relate very well to that persecution.

There's plenty of good evidence to support evolution.
Also, one of the principals our country was founded on is that there is no state-sponsored religion, hence the separation of Church and State. That's why religious practices are not allowed in public schools.
Although the Bible and the Ten Commandments provide us with many good lessons and rules for life, it's going to take more than that to prevent teenage pregnancy.

The schools get into the dilemna of having to accomodate ALL Faiths customs if they allow any specific one to be observed......
This was never an issue in the school i grew up in..We had all types of nationalities including Navajo, Pueblo, Zuni, Indians, Mexican Americans, and all the rest....Therefore they knew to NOT cross the line to honor just one type of custom ...They knew this would be offensive to the others...It has to do with respect for human beings that are All gathered together in a group for education...As far as the education curriculum the school board needs to be confronted by the parents who are offended by the materials in school being taught...I hope you are REAL active in the schools PTA and board meetings......Let them know you are watching them like a hawk!!!
