Wouldn't this verse make it clear that God does see both genders as equal and both will be rewarded equal reward for doing either good or bad?

"Spiritual Equality of Women and Men
Allah has got ready forgiveness and tremendous rewards for the Muslim men and women; the believing men and women; the devout men and women; the truthful men and women; the patiently suffering men and women; the humble men and women; the almsgiving men and women; the fasting men and women, the men and women who guard their chastity; and the men and women who are exceedingly mindful of Allah. (Al-Ahzab 33:35)"

Atheists think that just because they're atheist they're smarter than everyone else because they have no faith. Actually, they're lying to themselves. If they believe in evolution, they're putting faith in scientific theory. Also, some of the greatest minds in human history had religions e.g. Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton.

When we grow old and die or die from accidents, murder or early heart attacks, Does GOD give people a second chance at life by being born again with a different baby body but same mind and soul or God gives us different body along with different mind and soul. I hope that when I die I get a second chance at life by being born again so I won't have any more errors or regrets in life. Like in this film I saw called "Birth" starring Nicole Kidman, Kidman's on screen husband died at age 27 and was later reborn as a 8 year old boy. The film was somewhat okay but it raises the question Can God give people a second chance at life when we die?

and ephemeral signs of its existence are almost palpable.

“There is an indefinable, mysterious power that pervades everything. I feel it, though I do not see it. It is this unseen power that makes itself felt and yet defies all proof, because it is so unlike all that I perceive through my senses. It transcends the senses” - Mahatma Gandhi

I know what eternity is in from my point of view. It's either, forever in heaven or forever in hell. I want to know what everyone else thinks eternity is. What happens after eternity if anything? Where will you spend eternity? Thx. God Bless <3

Our human race needs everything it can get to be able to exist for a long, long time. So it would be better for people to focus their mindpower on ongoing issues. Instead of worrying about religion, we could be worried about AIDS and cancer, global warming, and economic issues, etc.

Relgion is fine, but it is based off of old beliefs, and it really isn't productive to preach about it. Instead, let's focus on current and futuristic issues that will affect our families for the next several generations.

In 1000 years, people will be more worried about breathing clean air than what the old testament says.

And I know there are religious people who care about these things, I would just rather have religious people devote all of their attention to these issues instead of religion.

How do I deprogram the Mormon's belief that God won't forgive me? I was prosecuted for attempting to murder my mother when I was an abused kid. The mormon church I tried joining after I was released gave me an extreamly hard time about it. They made me feel like I was going to hell and that God would not forgive me until they did. I ended up in the mental hospital twice. I had a nervous break down and couldn't go to the store to buy food because I was afraid of getting in a reck and dying and going to hell. I'm not sure how to deprogram this distorted verion of Jesus' atonement.

for all the athiests who said they wanted proof i have some! first there are many phrophecies in the the old testeament and they are fullfilled later on. for example a big one is this
Matthew ch.27 vrs.46
At about three oclock jesus called out with a loud voice "eli, eli lema sabachthani" which menas my god my god why have you forsaken me.

People have many reasons to why jesus said this but look back at Psalm 22 Jesus was fulfilling a prophecy!

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+22

that was a prophecy and jesus fulfilled it 500 years later.
thats as much proof as you need. i hoped this helped and if it hasn't i don't know what to do

It piqued my interest as I realized by reading some of your (atheist's) replies that you hold some grudge against christianity. My guess is that your moral codes do not coincide with christian moral code. If so, in what ways? To clarify, some of you expressed condescension towards christian lack of reason... but anything about the lifestyle of the christians you despise so much?

If I may make a stab in the dark, I think many of you (atheists) do not have a goal to be 'good' as christians try to be whether there is hell fire or not. The endeavor to be 'good' is really an endeavor to be like the God we serve.

I am catholic and have two sets of godparents.I know in Spanish one is of water (agua) and I'm not sure what the others are. I am obviously not very religious (since I don't know the answer) but I was wondering if that is the case still. My daughter has one set but I would like to add another godfather who does so much for her. Can it happen? Does anyone else have two sets of godparents by the church? Thanks :-)

The ones who have never ached and grieved over their children or felt the loss of a marriage. Or dealt with the blow of seeing their children battling drugs while I try to walk a walk of faith. So often they have left me feeling somehow less worthy or faithful to God for the choices my children made. The pain of seeing this happen to your loved ones is hard enough, but, to have the ones you should be able to go to for comfort and can't, only adds salt to the wound. I think perhaps I am jealous they do not suffer and feel this grief. My shame covers me for feeling this way. How do I stop being upset? Is this just my way of projecting my hurt in a different direction so I don't have to face the pain of seeing my loved ones hurt themselves?
