It depends on the motivation behind shaving your legs.

My husband shaves his legs and most of the rest of his body too as he hates being hairy. He is of European decent and is quite hairy and he was teased about it at school. He is also a born again practicing christian.

However if he shaved his legs because he wanted to look better in a drag outfit- well that wouldnt be so cool as it says in the bible that the effeminate will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Dear one, an interesting question; I know swimmers who will shave their legs for the sake of fractions of a second to add to their time, and often men in sports esp. if they have to tape their knees....
One might use the argument of dressing like women but in other cultures women dont shave their legs... i don't advocate it, but i think of the verses in Hebrews 12..... it could be shaving legs... it could be watching TV, or playing computor games... what ever is hindering our growth and continuing in the race God has for us.... we best seek the best time and rid our selves of what is weighing us down.

Heb 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Heb 12:3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.
I hope this is helpful.... blessings.....

No. I went to a Christian High School and the male swim team was allowed to shave their legs.

And I know of several cyclists who shave and are Christian.

Maybe it depends on why you are doing it.

Sorry - no quote.

Professional fighters who believe in the Christian religion shave their legs, their chests, their arms, and even their heads at times. Laws are given concerning beards, but not legs.
