Friend..start with prayer...talk straight to Jesus....your forgiveness has nothting to do with the mormon church...and you DO NOT need Joseph Smith's consent to go to heaven. That is not taught ANYWHERE in Scripture.
Now...you can find a lot of ex-mormon web sites....MMMO.org is one...Saints Alive is another. Also, you can find a non-denominational church in your town...and spend time with one of the church leaders there. You can keep asking your questions here.... but the main thing is to understand, ... when you seek Jesus' forgiveness, He will give it to you, and you're not going to have to jump through a lot of hoops like your bishops have been teaching you.
I'm praying mighty hard for you. To be released from the bondage in your heart.. that God the eternal God, will give you the peace you seek! If you need more encouragement, remember, e-mail stamps are free!

If someone with "knowledge of the truth" murders, it will not be forgiven (according to Mormon beliefs).
You didn't kill her.
My guess is that you didn't have a knowledge of the truth.
ACCORDING TO MORMON DOCTRINE YOU CAN BE FORGIVEN.
I don't know the details. The more severe the sin, the more difficult forgivness is to obtain.....however you have done nothing (that you've said anyway) that is unforgivable.
I will point out that there are conditions for baptism that are not the same for condistions for repentance.
In any case, take it to the Lord and ask him for forgiveness.

I'm Mormon and God WILL forgive you. I'm not sure why some of the church members treated you in that way. I hope everything has turned out better in your life. Our church does not promote the idea of "not being forgiven". I'm sorry you dealt with some members who weren't living our doctrine. Good luck to you.

1 John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is FAITHFUL and just to FORGIVE us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL
unrighteousness. That is the Word of God and God cannot lie.(Titus 1:2)
Now, if there is another gospel preached other than what the apostles taught, that person will be cursed. (Galatians 1:8)
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is NO LIGHT in them. Isa 8:20
Hear is a text that you can use to deprogram with...pray this text back to God.
"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of POWER, and of love and of a SOUND MIND." 2 Tim.1:7
I will be praying for you, friend, that you will let God heal your mind and place His arms of love and protection around you.

To be frank with you, it sounds like you need to forgive yourself more than you need to worry about what God thinks. It is a typical response for abuse victims to feel like they are to blame for lashing out and not maintaining control when in fact they did not have control of the situation. Or that they are to blame for the abuse. But at the same time they also feel unable to forgive themselves for not maintaining control or stopping the abuse sooner.
Just let it go...you will not feel like God has forgiven you until you are able to forgive yourself. Good luck.

God has already forgiven you.
you don't need anyone's permission to go to God and receive his forgiveness. God knows exactly what happen in your life and He still loves you.
My best advice to you is to pray everyday and ask God to show you how much He loves you.
He will show His love to you in many wonderful ways... don't doubt that He will do this.
And stay away from the Mormons...... just go to God directly.. He will ALWAYS be there for you.... and He will ALWAYS love
you... no matter what.
I send you peace.

i'm so very sorry your going through this. once YESHUA
forgives you, your forgiven. the shed blood of the cross
covers sin.
i too was severely abused as an infant and child. i finally
realized that by forgiving them for being ***(@)) was
easy. not for what they did to me but for being evil. then
i started working on the abuse issues. i still have ptss.
but through the HOLY SPIRIT i'm starting (inch by inch)
to move forward. sometimes i'm okay. most i'm not.
but i know i'm not going to hell now just because that
is all i heard from my mother.

I don't see why God wouldn't forgive you for ATTEMPTING to kill your mother, especially since you were a kid and abused, and I don't know why:
a. the LDS church would say what you say they did and
b. you would take it so hard. They're not God, they don't know who's actually going to hell and who isn't.

Mormons did that to you? Mormons are now going to hell. No one can say whoever goes to hell. It is God that judges our sin and not the damn Mormons.
