For example: radiocarbon dating, fossilized remains of pre-historic creatures, vestigial organs (body parts that serve no purpose, as in wings on an ostrich), dinosaurs, etc. There seems to be so much scientific data that indicates that the earth is in fact billions of years old and that animals did indeed evolve. How can I keep my faith in God despite all of this data?

were stupider than people today? Is it really so hard to believe that a book written 2000 years ago is just an ordinary book of fiction?

to quantify infinity, qualify divinity, measure the duration of eternity, and know all that there is to know about the totality of existence?

They cannot. Just because they cannot does not mean that our universe is an entity on to itself. Maybe it means that an infinity, divinity, eternally one remains hidden to scientifically reproducible discovery because scientists are too limited in their abilities to gather evidence, make inferences and draw conclusions.

How do your limited abilities to gather evidence, make inferences and draw conclusions prevent you from being able to rule out and or disprove a number, variety and diversity of myths about self and world only limited by truth and knowledge based on scientifically reproducible discovery and our creative abilities and powers of imagination. Agreed?

that talking in tongues is REAL? Almost every professional linguist who has studied divinely inspired glossolalia has admitted that believers are speaking a REAL language -- it is not just a combonation of social pressure and imbalanced brain-chemistry prompted by cult-like zeal.

How do you explain that the Holy Spirit speaks through the children of men?

I always been tp a private school But since i was 6 i went to a private catholic school, and i was fine. But when i gradauted from the school my mom chose a christian private school for highschool. For some reason, going to this school is making me care less bout religion. I'm starting to get tired with all the religous talk and talking bout the bible.
Is this normal? Should i do something bout it? I used to like religion class everything, but for some reason my interest is drifting away. Is it the school or is it just me.
btw.im catholic.

I mean, surely it makes sense that if Christians go out into the wilds of South East Asia to spread their stuff to the pacific islanders, how come Atheists didn't try to even up the score? You know.... that's how it works doesn't it? G v E or sommat. (Oh .. that? - Good versus Evil of course - what else)

translation of the original texts. My husband however, came to know Christ by reading the NIV Bible and loves it very much. He knows the NIV is not good and it leaves many original verses out and agrees that its not ok, but he still has the NIV as his primary Bible. I want to get rid of it because it is a bad Bible. Those who agree with me know what i mean. I want to know from those of you who agree with me that the King James is the best, what should I do about this situation where I don't want our future children reading the NIV and want to get rid of it. Now I know that they might be reading it somewhere else, but having their father read it gives them a reason to say, well if daddy reads it its not so bad which will create problems in our family...

I have a sister who was introducted to G12. G12 has consumed her life and is cult like.My sister and I used to be best friends, but she has turned against me and vaguely remembers her past. All of the members of the church have to go to meetings, cell groups, take written tests, and do certain things certain ways 24/7.She still lives with my family but we never see her anymore because she spends almost every day of her life at the church. It worries me because she is currently engaged to marry a guy who is in hopes of becoming a pastor for one of the churches. This is like watching a train wreck and it feels that there's nothing that I can do.Every time I try to talk to her she talks about God and criticizes me for who I am.I do consider myself a Christian, but I dont believe that churches should discriminate or make church about things not envolving religion itself.(with tests, manditory meetings, etc.)I want her to be happy but this is destroying all of our lives.I lost my best friend.

I am quite intrigued by many of the arguments that I have read for there being no God, some using very capable logic. Although I was raised as Christian, my views on God now are hardly parallel to the traditional points of view. Still, it is quite difficult for me to comprehend an end to my own existence, mostly from my own experiences (such as one out-of-body experience when I was 18... don't laugh), rather than what I was taught in Sunday School. My question is, do atheists believe in any kind of existence after the death of the body, and if so, what kind of existence? I understand that you wouldn't believe it would be in some kind of heaven, or with some Supreme Deity. Is there merely an end to all cognizance, wherein everything would be black, such as in an unconscious state? These questions are not meant to inflame, but are truly slated for more understanding of my own world and concepts. Thank you in advance for honest and sincere replies.

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Something Christians in the early 1800's made up? Like i mean... i believe in God, but i dont' believe man has the authority to make up events and assume that they will happen. Where does it say in the bible that the rapture is going to happen??

I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up. Just because we said it, doesn't mean anything. In fact, i can garuntee it's not going to happen.

I can garuntee the end of the world though, easily. Actually, it's already done, everything that was required to end it has already been accomplished, all the base work... like everything that God needs to have accomplished before He can... make His move... well, close to everything. There is still one last obstacle to... clear.

and the beauty of it, is that the world is only going to hear about it afterwards so that they cannot do anything to change it... and trust me, if they did, they would.

Do i know something? Just have faith that i maybe i do.

I have been going to this same church for 12 years, and this only lady has only been coming about 4 months. Well when i first met her, she was rude. Now the last few times at church, when i happen to catch her looking my way, she rolled her eyes all mean. WHAT ON EARTH is that for? I feel like I need to rebuke her but I'm not sure what that means. What other option is there?

In a seed there is all the genes and potential. There is a life in that seed that will bring this seed from just being a small thing into something different.

When we were regenerated to become children of God, His life seed was planted into our being. Deep in our spirit we were reborn and regenerated with the Life of God.

Tell me.. as a believer.. how do you take care of the Lord in you day by day?

This Lord in You who has the ability and the potential to tranform your whole being to be Christ and Christ alone. To grow in You and gradually move you from being a child to a son to an heir. Little children are no threat to satan.. but the SONS and the HEIRS are his worst nightmare.

How is this seed faring in your being? Is the Lord being fed day by day.. are we drinking of the Spirit and feeding in the Word to grow?
SHare please..
May the Lord truly abound in us week after week as we press forward in Him,

if all that's stopping you from going to heaven and meeting God is a feeble little mortal existence, why not just break the break the chains that bind you? why wait? how can it be a sin to kill yourself, if all you really want is to be closer to God? it seems the ultimate irony that you'd be sent to hell for this.

1Cor 15:45b
.... The Last Adam became a life Giving Spirit.

This is an interesting title for Christ don't u think? He said in John 10:10 that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly.

Do we see Christ as this Life Giving Spirit? Is it that as the Spirit Christ is able to give us His life day by day. This overcoming life to deal with all that the world throws our way? This life that works in us to transform us inwardly and conform us into the image of Christ?

2 Cor 3:13
And the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Freedom

Share with me please..
This is quite an untouched matter in christianity that I do believe holds some of the keys to our christian walk and life daily.

What do u think of these verses and this title of Christ being the Last Adam is the Life Giving Spirit...How do you apply these verses to Your life as a Christian?
