1Cor 15:45b
.... The Last Adam became a life Giving Spirit.

This is an interesting title for Christ don't u think? He said in John 10:10 that He came that we might have life and have it abundantly.

Do we see Christ as this Life Giving Spirit? Is it that as the Spirit Christ is able to give us His life day by day. This overcoming life to deal with all that the world throws our way? This life that works in us to transform us inwardly and conform us into the image of Christ?

2 Cor 3:13
And the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Freedom

Share with me please..
This is quite an untouched matter in christianity that I do believe holds some of the keys to our christian walk and life daily.

What do u think of these verses and this title of Christ being the Last Adam is the Life Giving Spirit...How do you apply these verses to Your life as a Christian?

Hi sis, again we see the human condition being made first flesh and then spirit. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. It is the way of our creation that the flesh should serve the spirit as Christ did submit himself to the Father. The first covenant was physical God's covenant with Abraham the second spiritual through Jesus. First the law and then salvation through Christ. Through the flesh sin unto death but through the spirit eternal life through Jesus. It is through Adam sin and death entered the world and through Jesus who overcame temptation sin and death, salvation to eternal life.

1 Cor. 15: 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive

Well, I'm pleased that I shouldn't have to explain why the last Adam is Christ, that's good.
This verse is translated a number of ways. Most agree that the first Adam was made a living being of some sorts, but the second one is a bit different.
They all agree that it's either life-giving, quickening, or vivifying spirit. The first and last mean the same thing.

I think that it was a point of artistic contrast on Paul's part. I can easily come to that conclusion when considering the fact that there are slightly different ways of writing Adam to mean Adam, and Adam to mean man in the context of the Bible.
Paul was quoting this passage, but took a little leeway in quoting it so that it translated as Adam instead of man. When he did so, he was able to say then that the first Adam was alive, and therefore the father of all of the bodies of humanity. (If Adam had failed to reproduce with Eve, we wouldn't be here). By comparing Adam to Christ, Paul could tell how Jesus was here for our spirits, to give life to them, to quicken them, and to (hopefully) make us holy, if you follow.

In other words, it's a slightly more subtle restatement of 1 Corinthians 15:22.

For 2 Corinthians 3:13, just remember that a kite won't fly unless you hold on to the string. (Many people would agree that you're a lot more free if you're sober and allowed to go where you want than if you're drunk and spending the night in jail.) It is also another comparison between Christ and spiritual life, for it could mean freedom from death.

I suggest you read the full text as well as the commentary at the bottom of the page, in order to get a good sense of what Paul was dealing with here:

I can't beat DJMantix's answer but I would add that as a living spirit inside of us, we have to nourish it by reading the word and praying daily. From that will stem a new strong life that will bear much fruit. (((((((Sandy))))))))
