I would like to address eternal salvation and then Gods discipline.

Eternal salvation is granted when you confess with all your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord. No one, no matter how good we try to be, is good enough for God. "...our righteous acts are like filthy rags;..." see Isaiah 64:4-9. Any righteousness we have comes not from ourselves but from accepting the blood covering of Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.” It has nothing to do with what we do. We don’t gain eternal life because of our good performance, and we don’t lose eternal life because of our bad performance. It’s Jesus plus nothing; it’s a gift.

The church of Galatia thought the same thing... In Galatians 3 Paul writes, “You foolish Galatians! After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?” 2 Timothy 2:13 Paul says, “if we are faithless, He will remain faithful.” Getting into heaven has nothing to do with our human performance and everything to do with God’s grace.

"You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea." Micah 7:19

"Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." Hebrews 10:17

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus," Romans 8:1

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him."John 3:36

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;" 1 Corinthians 6:19

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!" Romans 5:8

"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession to the praise of his glory." Ephesians 1:13-14

"For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified." Romans 8:29-30

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. "John 10:27-28

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls." 1 Peter 1:3-9

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. " 1 John 5:13

"What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies." Romans 8:31-33

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17

DISCIPLINE:
And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Hebrews 12:5-8

"My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. 12 For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights." Proverbs 3:11-12

It depends. I honestly believe if you ever sincerely gave your life to Christ you won't be lost forever. Though some will make it by the skin of their teeth.

Sin is sin and we're all guilty and will never be free of it this side of heaven or the Lord's return. Just because someone FEELS like they are living out God's will it doesn't neccessarily mean they are. We sin daily by omission or commission. In God's eyes it's all sin. That's why His son had to die. Our sins were in the future when he died so why would he only forgive us once if we sin daily?

I've seen people live w/o the Lord and accept Him right before they die. People that knew He was there and who He was yet chose to go their own way. I've seen people richly blessed in everyway possible, go to church everytime the door's open, volunteer, etc and believe they'll be saved because of their works.

It's God's gift plus NOTHING ELSE. God alone knows your struggles and how it effects you and even more He knows your heart down deep where even you can't see. He's there in the thickest darkness. He knows who really chose him, He knows when you walk away. But if your His He's the hound of Heaven. You'll never walk so far you're out of His reach.

Like I said before it may be by the skin of your teeth but you'll make it home if it was ever real.

If God knows what is best for us, why would anyone choose to live outside of God's will? That would be very foolish, wouldn't it.

I wonder what would keep someone from accepting God's will for their lives....doubt? Stubborness? Arrogance? Fear? I don't think these things would fit very well into Heaven.

But only God can judge that...and I believe God looks at the heart and takes everything into consideration. Thank goodness for that!

Living in God's will is the result of an ongoing vital relationship with God. Many Christians don't make the time for it.

Belief does not guarantee a place in heaven ,Good works don`t guarantee a place in Heaven.
We can only hope . God will be the Judge not us
.
Presuming to know the will of God is pride and a sin in itself .

Looking at the vast divergent array of beliefs that all proclaim Jesus as Lord, I would say that humans are not experts on God's Will, and can only try to live in accordance with His Will. ALL of us will fail. That is, I believe, why we are instructed not to judge others, for EVERYONE falls short.

It is only by God's Grace that any of us may be saved. But certainly by their fruits you shall know them, and the fruits of the Spirit are longsuffering, peace, joy....(I forget the rest, but they're all good)... so try and be like that.

If we aren't living in God's will, He will bring us back into His "fold." All through the Bible, we read where the shepherd keeps his flock close to him and goes after a stray when it gets lost. God is the same with His children.

Once we have accepted Jesus as our Savior and asked Him into our heart and life, we are adopted children of Almighty God. He will ALWAYS go after us if we stray and He will chastize and correct us.

When it comes to that, I refer to The Bible and pick a promise from God's word. Today, it is this:
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:

6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
(Psalm 37)

That's what people who think they are backsliding need to do: Begin to trust God for something He said.

We began that way, and we live that way. And the relationship was establish by faith so that the Holy Spirit could begin to work in us. With the Holy Spirit in us, He begins to work His will in us.

One thing that I want to add is that Satan would like nothing better than to get you away from God. To make you feel foolish for accepting the gift of God's loving sacrifice. So don't listen to whoever is telling you that you are not in God's will. God works His will in us, feeling guilty can be good to bring us around, which may be why you asked the question in the first place?

Yes. You go to heaven for trusting God through Jesus Christ. My Bible says that nothing can take that from you.

Romans 8
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is God's decision. However I believe if you turn your back on God you are in danger of going to Hell. Imagine someone who was saved as a young person but as an adult grew to hate God. They leave the church and want nothing to do with God. Is God going to force them to spend eternity with Him against their will?

disobedience is a sin. If you are living out of God's will then you have not fully given your life to Him. Will you go to heaven? I am not your judge or jury. Are you willing to gamble heaven over your choice to live out of the will of God?
