There is no logic....to believe in such a being one must be able to overlook all the fallacies and throw all logic out the window, this includes common sense sadly....such is the extent of faith....

Rolling up my sleeves to try to answer this one. It's not just one question and each question is a whole book to explain. So how to go about this......
There's no such thing as a strong believer. Only believers or not. To believe in God, the one true God,is to believe everything He says. He says for us to believe on His Son Jesus. So we do that very thing.
Why is it a sin to say or think something? Now that's deeper than you might think. Regardless of what people think, words do have power. It is a spiritual power that can bless or curse.
Take, for example, gossip. Have you ever seen gossip produce something good? No. It is a curse. Therefore, it should not be done.
It is true, that the believer has the authority of Jesus. It is also true, that when Jesus died on the cross and then defeated death, He bought back the auhority of mankind and handed it back to mankind. Therefore, whether a believer or not, man has authority over this world.
This authority is voiced. Whether for good or bad, it has an affect. So to say, "Damn you" is literally a spiritual curse. Say it to a believer and it won't go far, as the believer has a protector. Say it to a non-believer, who does not have the Holy Spirit, and you have literally pushed forward a curse upon them.
Now that may seem like a great tool to use but there's one thing people overlook and that's what's called the law of reciprocity. It means, "what goes around, comes around". Don't deny it, you've seen it in action. What you do (believer or not) comes back to you.
Wouldn't you call that a sin?
To try to be independent of God, is futile. You see, the only thing bringing mankind into reality (walking and breathing mortal being) is the breath of God. So how can mankind ever actually be independent of God? His very breath is their life source?
Ask any scientist. Why do we exist?

Religious practices are little more than tradition and man's effort to reach God. Christ's death & resurrection was God reaching out to man. It's that relationship that's vital, not our efforts.
He created me with a free will but there are consequences. Just because I suffer it doesn't mean He's not there or predestined it. Often God works w/i the natural to sway us. The Bible says He never sleeps but there are plenty of times He gets tired of striving with man, especially in the old testament. Anger and love aren't the only strong emotions He has. He created us in His image so how could He have less emotions than we do?
We all have worth in His eyes. In His eyes there are no losers or hopeless causes. You can believe in God as much as you want to but what really matters is you trust Him to have your best interests at heart no matter what you're going through. Job said it best; "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." All his friends believed in God so strongly they were sure he had sinned and brought God's judgement on himself & were sent by God to tell him to repent. That's one of the best examples I know between believing and trusting. Look at all the mistakes Moses made including disobedience (rebellion) that made him unable to enter the land God promised. But God called him His friend.
It's the difference between having a friend you believe will be there through thick and thin and KNOWING he'll be there. He created each one of us with different personalities. Some are independent, some needy. But He knows what we need to be all He dreams of for us. If all were needy we'd have no leaders. All dressed a certain way, acted a certain way, etc. how could He reach the lost with His promise that He desires all to come. We're all worth all effort to Him.

You have to look for God the same way some of the great heroes of the Bible and the saints of the Church did. I would suggest you read the story of St. Augustine and then follow the steps he took until he came to the realization of God's existence.
I did. If you are interested to know about St. Augustine's conversion, please go to this link.

To the guy above me. Bertrand Russel was wrong. The evidence of God's existence is all around us. Russel should have started with himself.

If we could define what God is, then we could get nearer to believing in him/her - whatever.
I quote from the late, great Bertrand Russell. 'When I die and I appear at the gates to Heaven. The archangel Gabriel will be standing on guard. And he will say, 'I cannot let you in because you did not believe in God during your lifetime.' To which I would reply, 'Well, God never gave me any proof of his existence whilst I was alive!'

You are all wrong on this one. Going against any of the ten commandments of God is a sin. For example, Thou shall not kill (humans, that is). What do you find wrong with that for instance. Would you like to go round killing people?

Please read my words carefully:
If you see footmark in the sand, you'll say that someone passed from here...
If you see a piece of dog sh*t on the ground, you'll say that a dog passed from here...
So what about the enormous universe, the sky, stars, planets, earth and all the beauty in it, doesn't it lead to that someone made it?!!!
Some people say that everything is created by itself after the big-bang... I won't ask you about what caused the big-bang, but I'll ask you a simple question:
If you take all the letters of the alphabet, multiples of them, and you threw them randomly on the floor. Do you expect (by a chance of one in infinity) to get a poem like shakespear's??!!
Can't you see how organized our universe is, the planets, the eco-system on earth, look even in your own body... Can you control your heart-beat? Can you control your breath while you're sleeping? Who stopped your eye-lashes from growing after reaching a certain length? Who told the baby turtles to move towards the sea and not to the earth after they come out of their eggs? Who taught the bird how to make nests?
My friend, think with your heart and brain. If you're still lost, think about the following:
Do you know how to play safe?
Non-believer's case:
If there's no God and you do all what you want in life, then nothing will happen to you after life. But if there was God and you were mistaken, then you'll blame yourself FOREVER...
Believer's case:
If there's God and I followed His commands in life, then I'll be in Heaven after life FOREVER. But if there was no God and we're mistaken, then nothing bad will happen to us after life...
Now you know how to play-safe, in case you're not convinced?

God draws people to himself in many ways, but in the end it's only a divine revelation that invites us to face the fact of his existence.
'Sin' is simply our rebellion against God, we are impure in comparison to God, who cannot sin. God will never force his way into your life, you have free will to continue living as you wish, but there will be a price to pay unless you accept Jesus, who has paid the price for you already.
Emotions, well we are made in the image of God so our emotions come from him, trouble is we have distorted some of them, so our natural desire to want to have sex with someone for life has been distorted to become lust and has given rise to pornography, adultery, rape etc. Our natural desire to eat has become greed, with rising levels of obesity.k
Everyone has the same worth in god's eyes, but in order to be back in the relationship with him for which he created us, we need to accept Jesus..
