In a seed there is all the genes and potential. There is a life in that seed that will bring this seed from just being a small thing into something different.
When we were regenerated to become children of God, His life seed was planted into our being. Deep in our spirit we were reborn and regenerated with the Life of God.
Tell me.. as a believer.. how do you take care of the Lord in you day by day?
This Lord in You who has the ability and the potential to tranform your whole being to be Christ and Christ alone. To grow in You and gradually move you from being a child to a son to an heir. Little children are no threat to satan.. but the SONS and the HEIRS are his worst nightmare.
How is this seed faring in your being? Is the Lord being fed day by day.. are we drinking of the Spirit and feeding in the Word to grow?
SHare please..
May the Lord truly abound in us week after week as we press forward in Him,
ur sis

Sister Claudia... ty for sharing:)
I was deeply touched by all the honest responses of you brothers and sisters for this question. Sometimes its through answers such as yours that the heart can have a small way to turn back to the Lord. ITs almost like a confession before those that are yours in Christ that you want to move on and keep running forward in the Lord. Its such a wonderful declaration before our Lord and the saints in Christ of your desire to grow and mature in the Lord's life each day.
My prayers and petitions are with you all:)
Ur sister

In my Christian walk, I don't think I've reached the places I should've reached. However, I still try to take care of the Lord in me.
As a believer, I make sure to pray each day, throughout my daily routine - having an open-ended conversation with my Lord. I mean, what child who loves his/her father would choose not to talk to him, right?
So far, the enemy and my flesh have actually gained far too many victories. I've gone through a period of time where I was just at a spiritual stalemate. I was frustrated.
Nowadays, I just really want to have a better relationship with my Father, even better than when I first became saved.
The seed in my being, in my natural eyes, isn't being properly taken care of. Now that the problem is known, though, I know that God is going to keep helping me - His mercy is too great to describe fully in words!
Besides praying, I read my Bible. In fact, when I don't read my Bible for a period of time, I get spiritually hungry - I can actually feel that thirst, that hunger - not in my stomach, but in my spirit. Becoming spiritually anorexic isn't my goal, so I partake of God's wonderfully beautiful Word.
Although my growth in the Spirit has been stunted for a while, I still want to run that good race. I want Him to abound in me. It'll take a lot of discipline, but He'll lead me through. I just know it!
I pray that He also abounds in you as you continue to walk in Him.
One of your many sisters,
Claudine

Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. 1 Peter 1:23
The seed, being planted in the fertile soil of the heart and watered daily by the Word of God,will grow...When I daily drink, of the living water of the Word..I put on the mind of Christ and the seed planted in my heart will grow..
My Bonsai trees require a special quality, Bonsai specific soil, but are able to survive with a very small amount. This special soil only retains approximently 20% moisture,so as not to be a breeding ground for fungus(root rot)...but needs to be watered liberally every day, to survive.
Similarly, the quality of the soil of the heart is essential and need the water of the word on a daily basis...Too much saturation in one day and we may become dull of hearing, too little and we may wither...

Isa 1:17 "Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow."
I agree with your thoughts on how God put seed within us that needs to grow. What we sometimes fail to realize is that a farmer does not just go out and throw his seed on the ground, sit back and watch it grow.
He first will test the ground to see what is needed to produce the biggest yields. The soil that he is to plant in may need nitrogen, minerals, or it could have to much of something and adjustments might need to be made. This might sound like a lot of work to plant a seed, but this is his means of living and having what is needed to sustain his family. When the soil is just right and ready to receive the seed I have heard it said "that the soil will actually hunger for want of something to grow.
Oh that we were like the farmer tending our hearts as the farmer tended the soil. Our hearts if tended to will hunger for the Word of God just as a hungry soil hungers for seed to grow.Once planted we would watch it grow and be careful not to let the thistles and thorns of this world choke it out.We would remove the stony ground so that it would take root, chase away the fouls of the air.Why would we do this? Because its our livelihood and our families depend on it.

I feel like I just read a speech. What was your question sister Sandy?
You seem to ask what you need to do to please God.
Start by believing that He is! Then read His love letter, the Bible, and obey His will!!!
My answer is a couple of my fav. bible quotes...
Psalm 37: 4-6 “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.”
Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Amen!
We can be partakers in His Kingdom if we only believe, and step out in faith to do the same works that Jesus did by the authority He has given us.
Go for it!
2 Peter 1:3-5
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge,
