Hiya
I don't know why there is so much confusion about this.
Obviously there was no need to take sea creatures of any sort., so that eliminates the need of the majority of animal life on earth , as most if it is in the sea.
It was just land animals.
Likely there would have been animals in distant places that could not be accessed . so you can discount getting these ones as well.
And when you only take the 'root' animal , and not the subspecies , again that drops the number down considerably.
Scientist do not disagree on the fact that it is possible to fit all of the required animals in a vessel of the size according to whats written in the Bible.
For more Bible based information plz feel free to email me.

If you would read closely you would see that God told Noah exactly what animals to take into the ark. If Noah had tried to get 2 of each species on the ark, not only would it not hold them all, but he would have had to load 50 pairs a second onto the boat to complete the task in 7 days! But God told Noah to take a certain number (seven, I think) of clean animals and a certain amount of unclean animals.
Noah's story is taken from a much earlier one. (Read about Gilgamesh.) There is archeological evidence that points to a great flood in the region where Noah (is said to have) lived.
It is a mystery that is still being debated to this day---I don't know...you decide.

Well, they believe it to be true and spend MILLIONS of dollars each year trying to find the Ark in Turkey. If you ask ME, I think IF these christians were as intelligent as they think they are, they would SPEND the money on the those who are the hungry, homeless, and NEED the money they waste on trying the PROVE that which a 2 year old could tell you is a LIE. My daughter at the age of "two" told me so ......

Only some Christians.
There are essentially four views on this subject:
1) The whole story is true, as it appears in the English translation of the Bible.
2) The story is true, but the original Hebrew actually describes a local flood that only hit southern Mesopotamia.
3) The core of the story is true, and refers to a man who survived a local flood. But the details were added later, and convey symbolic meanings.
4) The entire story is a near-eastern myth, and was included in the Bible because of its metaphysical and philosophical content.

Of course, and if you read the bible, it was God that caused the animals to come to the ark, two each of the animals that were not okay for sacrifice, and seven of those that were okay for sacrifice, along with seven of each kind of birds. Were there dinosaurs? Probably, but they didn't need to be as big as a house, there were baby-sized dinosaurs too.

Since all these events were done by God through acts of science, as modern science advances over time it will prove all these stories true and that they happened just the way God wrote them.
