I vote fundamentalists. Like in YA, most atheists here make me think about my faith, which is good. I’ve met atheists in real life. I don’t agree with them, but most of them are cool. We can interact just fine with mutual respect anyway.

Most of the venomous, hate-filled intolerant questions come from fundamentalists. Honestly, their questions don't make me reassess my faith; they make me embarrassed that they can hate so much and still call themselves Christians. And worse, they drive sensible people farther away from the Christian cause. I've met fundamentalists in real life too, and it's never pleasant.

My opinion is fundamentalists hurt Christianity more than non-believers. What's yours?

Why and / or How is it that,
the followers of this teaching
say that if a person doesn't believe
in the Trinity teaching, "isn't a Christian?"
Did the leader(s) of ur Congregation, teach this 2 u?
Did ur parents tell u thusly?
I've never read in the Bible,
"if u don't believe in the Trinity, u r not a Christian."
Players, PLEASE stick to the Q asked.
I already know about the Trinity.
I just want to know the "WHY" And "HOW"
u say a person who doesn't believe in the Trinity teaching
ISN'T A CHRISTIAN

We prayed and asked for God to work a miracle in his life. He was so young and needed a marrow transplant or he was not going to survive. He went to a cancer hospital and so far his new marrow is showing great possibilities.
So far he has done well and is going home from the hospital. He says he hopes he never has to come to the hospital again and I am not offended. His wife and he are the kindest people I think I have ever met. They were never rude, insulting or complained. I am so glad for him and her.
Do you think it would be good to send him something inspirational, such as a small plaque with a scripture verse or something?

[CONTACTS: this is my last question for the weekend, sorry for all the e-mails for all my repeated questions I hope you don't mind too much]
someone asked me this question in the Beauty and Style category, I am curious even more now.
I do not want religious answers, I am wondering if you religious people have any other idea of life besides worshipping whoever you worship.
I am meant to help people. I don't know if Buddha, Allah, or whoever made it that way I just know that is right for me to do so I do it.

all of the denominations that exist now have their roots in Catholicism, no matter how much fundies are going to whine by saying are ancestors were pre-catholicism, and all that ****. Isn't Catholicism the actual "non-denominational Church" it's not like it singled it's self from the other Churches, they did that themselves.

So can someone explain how Catholicism is just another denomination?

Just wondering.

I have had some issues I have been dealing with, some life altering changes, forgiveness toward my husband and asking for his forgiviness as well, a severe mingriane that lasted from Friday all the way until Saturday. What are good ways that I can stay healthy and happy body, mind, soul and spirit so I never fall into that deep hole of despair EVER again?

How do you promote health and wellness in your life? I am a christian and I love the Lord however I moved 3000 miles from all I loved and was familiar. I did not expect to face some of the problems I am encountering. How do I deal with this and still be joyful?

If on judgement day, it was up to you to decide where the atheists will spend eternity, what will be your decision? Nevermind what you think god wants, what would your choice?

Instead of explaining it to them? I posted something about contradictions in the Bible and instead of people clearing some of the misconceptions I was attacked as if there is no tomorow. Some idiots, sorry said that the quran says women can't go to heaven unless they kill? Wt*?

Anyway, everytime someone qoutes from the Quran I usually email them back with my answer, but most of you block your email now how exactly do you want me to answer you?

I was reflecting on the following passage today:
Matthew 3:9 "...and do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham."

I started thinking od those Christians who say they are "once saved always saved". I wonder if John would say to you today: "Do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have God.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up Christians."

The Jews thought that just being sons of Abraham made them a holy people, just like some Christians belive that by just being Christians they are saved.

I say to you: BEWARE: You CAN lose your salvation:

Keep in mind what the Scriptures say: "If we have died with him [in baptism; see Rom. 6:3–4] we shall also live with him; if we persevere we shall also reign with him" (2 Tim. 2:11–12). So, If we do NOT persevere, we shall NOT reign with him. In other words, Christians can forfeit heaven.

If abortion was illegal - what pro-lifers want to get, there would still be thousands of women who would want otherwise.

They would turn to illegal abortions to get it done. So what should their punishment be for this? A life sentence? A fine? Nothing?
