wait, before you think of hating me, let me make it clear that I'm not Catholic. just my observation, so many 'born again' hate the Catholics.

you may say you don't hate them, but actions speak louder than words. again, talk is cheap.

Catholics ARE born again.

John 3:3,5 - Jesus says, "Truly, truly, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." When Jesus said "water and the Spirit," He was referring to baptism (which requires the use of water, and the work of the Spirit).

I always wonder why ANY particular religious denomination seems to hate the others.
My theory about the "born-agains" is that it works the same way that it does for a lot of people who suddenly adopt a new element of life. I've often heard it said that, for example, newly nationalized American Citizens tend to be more passionate about their Americanism than those who were citizens from birth. Certainly I've had a little experience of people who have adopted a new religion being so wildly enthusiastic that they can't seem to stop from rushing around trying to convert everybody else LOL. They are often equally passionate in their dislike, and rejection of all other religious denominations because they believe they are false and the one they have adopted is the only "True Faith"

There seems to be something about "Born Agains" that whips them up into a frenzy of exaggerated speech and behaviour, and a refusal to respect the rights of other people to think and believe differently. If this kind of people had been alive a few hundred years ago, they would be down in the village square screeching and whooping in religious passion as they helped light the fires to burn people at the stake who had refused to accept "the Faith". Whenever I have heard somebody like that ranting I can't help feeling thankful that they do not have the power under our laws to force others to convert to their beliefs, because oh boy, if they did, we'd all be in big trouble LOL.

I have worshiped with both Catholics and Born Again Christians (a.k.a. Pentecostals). I was taught by born again Christians that they do not hate Catholics. A true Christian does not hate anyone, especially a fellow Christian.
The Born Again Christians do believe that Catholics are wrong because they pray to the Virgin Mary and to Saints when they believe that Christians should only pray to Jesus and through Jesus to God the Father.

Ohh, hehehe, My uncle is a born-again and the rest of my family is either Episcapalion or Roman Catholic, but mostly Roman Catholic, and we have had a lot of debates about this subject. And they do not hate us but disagree with us.

Well, except for one guy who at my cousins graduation thought it would be wise to say that the "damn Catholics are here". = )

I think you are misusing the word hate. I am born again, and I disagree with some of the teachings and beliefs of the Catholic church, but that does not equal hate. I think that there are some Catholics that believe the same as I do, but I think there are many who are missing the boat.

I am tired of disagreement being wrongly labeled as hate.

Since the Catholic faith is "faulty" and they refuse to convert, they are free to roast in the fiety pits of hell for all eternity.

(And before you bash on me, I AM a catholic and I had a born-again tell me that)

I don't hate Catholics but I do hate evil.
I'm not going to call something evil "good".
Jesus came to break the yokes of bondage
to set the captives free. An institution that tells
you what to do all the time to be right with God
is not in my opinion something "good".
God bless the people who are Catholic in Jesus' name

This is a pointed question. I love Catholics. I used to be one.

The continued existence of the Catholic church is a threat to them. (I don't mean all "born-agains," but the ones who are convinced the Church is evil and that all Catholics are going to hell if they don't repent.)

Many believe that they follow "false gospels". I think it's all ridiculous. You believe what you want. Let others believe what they want. And just work on getting along with each other. What's the point in fighting?!
