I thought the way you do once. I don't believe there is a hell the way some religions may want you to believe. In the bible there are many scriptures that say when you die you die and when the time comes (in Revelation) certain ones will be resurrected here on earth to eventually enjoy life in a way we could only imagine (the reward), some will remain in the ground dead (the punishment) and only a select few will be in heaven to rule with Jesus. I know to some this may sound totally absurd and I am sure I left out many little details but it is what I got out of the bible studying it for years. Please don't clobber me over this one just wanted to share a thought. If God is not kind then we are all in trouble. Remember he gave us "free will".

The Lord created those places as a mercy and warning.
If he wanted you on strings he would have made you all angels and there is 3 creations, Angels that never bend from the light and will of Allah.
2nd creation the Jinn, the leader is the devil and they are on frequencies you cannot see.(very few at that matter)
3 human beings and the last 2 had choice. Everything was created for the human being... everything! When will you wake?

No, we send our selves to hell by not accepting his free gift of grace, hell is for the devil and his pack of demons, Matt 25:41, Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: God gives us the choice, to make it even easier he sent his only son Jesus to die on a cross for us, John3:16, now we just accept his free gift of grace by faith, if you will seek Jesus with all your heart you will find him, he came that all men might be saved, will all be saved no, but everyone has there chance to accept him or not, some people may get more chances than others to be saved, Some people live to old, some young, we never know. Thats why the Bible says today is the day of salvation. Accepting Christ is easy, you can do it right now, just say this simple sinners prayer and you can be saved, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

God gave human beings self-will. He didn't make puppets. When you have self-will, you are free to make decisions. You can choose to follow Him, or you can choose not to believe in him. It's all your choice. He sent His Son to save us from eternal hell..... (act of love on the Cross). He sent the Holy Spirit to be our counselor and guide (another act of love). He walked on the face of this earth to show us how to live - how to love.... (another act of love). I can find nothing mean is what our God as done. His loving-kindness is seen in all things. All a person has to do is cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus and accept him as Savior and Lord of his/her life, then there will be no hell (no separation from God). Think about it.

In Corinithians it says "we know in part, we prophecy in part'
I think we do not comprehend darkness and light -Good and Evil-God and Satan with our limited understanding enough to make the Judgement that "God is not Kind". I'm taking his word for it (that he is good) as he has revealed himself to me and that is good enough for me right now. I do see what you are saying but if spend our lives on this earth thinking up reasons why God is not worthy rather than looking for evidence he is worthy to be praised-it seems we are heaping condemnation on ourselves and our punishment would be just. Being in hell is a reflection of what that person or being actually desires or wants over God.

This question poses more questions. God gave you and I the free agency to make our own choice and to determine where we will spend eternity. To say that he "knew" that most people will go to hell is to say that we are predestined to an eventuality...not to a life of choice as given by free agency.
There are faiths that teach on both sides of the issue but for me I chose to feel that God gave me a chance to live and die for Him. He also gave me the Bible as an iron clad means by which to know the path home to Him. It would then be by my choice to ignore His gift of life and His documentation of the path to salvation that I would chose to burn.
Given that I was turning my back on a God that gave me the life I live and the keys to the kingdoom...and for no cost at all..how then could He be a God that is playing dice or crule? HE is stacking the cards in our favor...giving us the Holy Ghost to inspire us to move in the right direction.....all of these things add up to "more than enough" to make it home to HIM.
Nope thats not crule...thats better odds than most children born today will receive from their natural earthly parents who will claim to love them to their death.
HE came here and laid down HIS life for us.
What more can we ask for?

If you're talking about the Biblical god, then I agree with you. The Biblical god likes to play "gotcha."

God did his duty by establishing dharma, and the rest of it is our duty. We need to follow that dharma the way he wants us to. If we did our duties and help the society we would got to the heaven.
