BECAUSE he walked on water he is divine ....

How is that different than constantly referring to the Bible as proof of everything in the Bible?!

1. Judas is considered a traitor.

2. It is said that Jesus HAD to die on the cross to save humanity.

3. If Judas had not done what he had done, Jesus would not have died on the cross.

So why then is he considered a traitor??

P.s
please refrain from referring to the gospel of Judas

Christians follow God, so, who do you follow? It's ingrained in our DNA that we're all in need for a leader, so, initially, no one was leader so, really, who lead you? And don't say "no one" because, knowing a bit of psychology, atheists are as in need for leadership as anyone.

preaching on contraversial subjects anymore (most of them anyways) such as adultry, abortion, homosexuality, fornication lieing ect? I haven't heard a service preached on these in years. I don't understand why they think they can pick and choose and not preach on the things that might offend some. Who are we going to hear these things from if they don't preach it? If God called them into the ministry don't you think He exspects them to preach all of His word not just the I won't step on any toes subjects? There is a reason that things were devinely put into the text of the bible... Do you realize how many Christians do not even read the bible and unless the preacher tells them they have no ideal what is even written in there. They need to know for thereself yes, but if they don't isn't it the responsiblity of the pastor to tell them in sermons? I mean there is some responsiblity held by pastors isn't there?

If a person must choose of their own free will to accept Christ (as Christians have told me, see my earlier question), surely the person who was brainwashed into Christianity at an early age and had no choice in the matter is no more likely to become saved than the person who is forced to become Christian at gunpoint?

Shouldn't Christian parents therefore not raise their children into the religion but let them make their own choice when they are old enough?

I don't understand, it, to me it seem like such a waste of usable space, for nature or for industry. I mean Have you looked at the size of some graveyards and what could be put there instead.

I see nothing wrong with having a wake and funeral sessions, but why bury the body, why not after the session, cremate it, and put it in a beautiful vase or jar. Its economical and saves space.

Thing of the price you are paying for a coffin, thousands and thousands of dollars, for something that is going to go into the ground and and eventually degrade.

I mean its like flushing money down the drain.

You and I May Differ
Written by Semper Fi 83 9/15/07

You and I may differ,
On what we choose to believe.
Yet in these same differences,
Do not be decieved.
I don't hate you at all,
Or wish your demise.
I couldn't wish harm to you,
Then look in your eyes.

I may pray for you,
Like you would wish me well.
We'd pick each other up,
If one of us fell.
Why do we think,
That out of debate?
Over our beliefs,
That we harbor hate?
Not for each other, no brother,
Or sister of mine.
You choose to go logical,
I choose the Divine.
Why can we not learn,
This world is our shared space?
We must coexist,
Regardless of faith.

I know to each other,
We seem to be odd.
Your faith lies in science,
My faith is in God.

I still wish you peace.
Eventhough we don't see eye to eye.
I hope you'll accept this poem's sincerity.

I have a saying and it goes as such:
"The only thing worse then a Christian is an Atheist."

Really, I direct so much energy towards the religious and logically destroying their beliefs as they cling to them but, really, I just haven't don't the same for Atheists.

Should I start debating them, now? I can't wait to start hearing "Nothing did" instead of "God did it" as my answer! WOO WOO

I have studied many religions, cults, and schools of thought and feel satisfied and fulfilled with my Spirituality. It seems like every explanation is different, with the same spiritual feeling inside. We all have the ability to find, explore and nurture our own internal Spiritual self ...How do you explain yours, and what conflicts do you experience??
This question is for a celebration of diversity, not a forum to convince others that they are wrong and how you descibe yours is the ONLY way, please, but if you post your Way with love and kindness, others who read it may be inspired in their journey!

Think about it. They have as much hard proof as Christianity. Carbon dating has always been proven to never really work perfect, so that doesn't really fly. They still haven't figured out how those incredible complex bacterias popped out of the rocks. The haven't found any 'pre-bacteria organism that are simpler, so it is all based on faith. faith they came from monkeys, slime and rocks, faith that maybe one day they might find out a way it could have happened., faith that by adding a few more billion years to their time frame, it might be a bit more possible. Thus, their whole thesis is based on as much faith as Christianity. Its a religion, no? and, no, DNA did not randomly assemble itself. its like assuming some drops the plains to a Ferrari Enzo, and suddenly, after billions of years, a factory pops up and a shiny red car rolls out.

Opinions, everybody! And please make them intelligent....
