Christians follow God, so, who do you follow? It's ingrained in our DNA that we're all in need for a leader, so, initially, no one was leader so, really, who lead you? And don't say "no one" because, knowing a bit of psychology, atheists are as in need for leadership as anyone.

Who said anything about Worship? And your conscience? What is that? What are you basing decisions off of? Your partner? Really? Your partner knows why you operate the way you do and what is 100% right and wrong? What are you comparing that against?

CC, I never said I followed a God, but to say I following nothing is absolutely absurd. Whether you want to admit it or not, you base your decisions off of something. You know right from wrong, but, why? If there is no God, go out and kill someone. Will you feel regret? Why? You dont follow a leader! Yourself? Your own "self" will feel this guilt? What is self?

Nadine, silly Nadine - Natural born leaders still follow, you silly goose! What laws and system to you think they operate under? Ohhh.. that's right, the guidance of right and wrong, logical and illogical.
You can have all the psychology degrees you want but what you cannot obtain at school is actual wisdom and knowledge. Your studying of psychology on people and "generally classing" them is super duper, but it really is still not "core" reasons, they are merely reasons stemming from other reasons. I suggest studying up on some religious psychology from the eastern side of the world. Buddha's psyche is 2600 years ahead of yours

As for the DNA, do you have some sort of special DNA that allows you to break the laws of physics? Oh, I guess you focus on psychology and neglected the various other fields such as neurology, philosophy, spirituality.

Uh, whoever told you that bit about DNA was lying to you; it's utter nonsense.
In fact, if it were true, there would be no leaders, only followers.
I don't know why so many people have trouble with this concept, but I'll try to explain it.
I have a mind; I use it. I do not need to mindlessly follow others.
I take in ideas from various sources, I develop my own ideas. I take in evidence and analyze it. I come to and assess other people's conclusions.
I don't need someone to do all this for me; I have a mind, and I use it.
I guess those who don't really are incapable of grasping this notion.

"And don't say "no one" because, knowing a bit of psychology, atheists are as in need for leadership as anyone." I think the term "a bit" is the operative term here. As a retired practicing psychologist, I can tell you that you are wrong about the "need for leadership." There are certain personality types that do require leadership because they are not confident in themselves and feel more comfortable when not having to think for themselves. There is another personality type called the Social Dominance Orientation who seize every opportunity to lead, and who enjoy having power over others. It has nothing to do with religious affiliation or lack thereof.
"It's ingrained in our DNA that we're all in need for a leader..." I've never come across any articles or essays in any peer-reviewed journals to that effect. Where did you get that from?

I am an atheist. I do not follow anyone. I certainly do not follow any deity, for I do not have any beliefs about any deity.
Are you thinking that if I do not follow anyone, I must therefore follow your satan?
Why do you think that if I do not follow your god, I must follow someone? I do not follow like sheep. I do not need a leader.
It is not ingrained in our DNA that we all need a leader. Please provide evidence to support that assertion. Otherwise it will be tossed on the heap of other unsubstantiated claims.

I believe in myself. Wanting to be my own great person, I don't need to "worship" anything to be an amazing person.

I sorta follow the lead of my partner especially when it comes to our kid.
There is no one force that atheists follow and it doesn't seem like you can grasp that.
