I don't always read the Bible daily. I have done so. I have read the Bible through at lest 3 times. There are indeed times you can read and not comprehend the meaning and as the day goes by and things happen the meaning of the verse or versus come to you. I like that.
I love learning and there are always things that can be learned and understood in The Bible.
The Bible means The Word. It is the Living Word of God. The Living Word of God is Jesus Christ. The Heavenly Father sent His Living Word (His Son) to us in the form of a man-child to grow up among us and go through all that we do. He did this and lived a sinless life being the perfect Lamb of God. Being the perfect lamb lead to slaughter it was only his shed blood that can WASH the vilest sinner clean. He was hung on the cross for it was said; "all are cursed who die on the cross."
We are the ones who are cursed and separated from God. It was only when the one who was sinless made himself sin for us and went the way of the cursed that we have a go between for us, who will plead our case before The Father. Jesus is The Living Word of The Most High God and he stands before the Throne of his Father and intervenes on our behalf. He, Jesus is our Savior, Brother and Friend. What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and grief's to bear.
Jesus is the Best Lawyer you have and it is a fool that doesn't want tne Best Lawyer he can have. We are guilty and we know it. I want the Best, how about you?

I try to have some sort of a daily bible study, but it honestly is difficult at times. Being a college student it's hard to get myself up early enough to have a good bible study, and if I don't do it early It often won't happen. I certainly agree though that a daily bible study is incredibly important to spiritual health. When I go a few days out of the word I do find myself getting to be more distant from God. I also would like to emphasize the importance of prayer. Christianity is about a relationship with God, and prayer is one form of communication. If prayer is neglected then the relationship will suffer. The combination of prayer and bible study is one of the most important tools that Christians have to strengthen their relationship with Christ.

I do, at least a chapter a day after I watch a bible study for an hour and I still feel like I should study more. Sometimes it's so interesting, I can't put it down! So much has been revealed to me lately, and I always find something I missed the last time I read the same chapter. What other book can do that?

Hi,
I try to read everyday but have been doing poorly lately. (pray for me to do better) You are right though it is hard to put down when you get into the habit before I know it its been hours and it's way passed my bedtime. It is the same with prayer for me the more I pray the more I find myself in prayer. One minute leads to one hour and so on. I love just talking to God through out my day He is my best friend because He understands everything and knows everything that is going on in my life. I am so glad there are people like you and the others on here that are on fire for the Lord God Bless You my friend!

I agree that it is good to read the bible but if you think that reading the bible daily will get you closer to God than someone who reads it only once a week then you are mistaken.

I read it darn near everyday. There are only a few occasions when I haven't read it.
The unrepentant can't understand the Bible. That is why they say its boring.
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor. 2:14

I think it is good you read the bible but you should also take a general religion course and learn about other religions as well for instance did you know that Christianity Islam and Judaism all came from one religion called Zoroastrianism

I had to memorize much of it and go to Sunday School every Sunday, bible study every Tuesday, prayer meeting every Wednesday, and mow the lawn on Saturdays, not to mention vacuum the auditorium, put away toys in the nursery, and my dad literally beat me on the head with his bible.

Not every day (though I should), but I do try to read it at least a couple of nights a week, and on Sunday, of course.

Hi Matt, I agree completely and I read from God's Word each and every day. In fact, that's how I start my day.
Thanks for the question!
