Why do we need Jesus so that we can look forward to life? I believe Jesus existed, however I do not think he was spiritual, or the son of god. He was a freedom fighter and, like ghandi, tried to encourage people to fight against the dictatorship of the Romans in a peaceful way. He became a great threat to the Romans, so they crucified him. Crucifiction was the method of execution in those days. However, if believing in him makes your life a better place, then who am I to judge.

No, I do not have any personal relationship with any deities.

I live my life perfectly well, without any deities. I have plenty to look forward to in my life. Thanks for your concern.

It is sad to think that there is nothing to look forward to without a belief in some deity. It speaks loads about how the human condition has not progressed as far as their technological advances.

I look forward to having nothing to look forward to. That way, anything will be a pleasant surprise! Imagine how disappointed you would be if you realized that there was no Jesus, and Heaven was just a poorly lit abandoned parking garage....in space.

What the hell are you on? Of course we have things to look forward to! Do you think the millions of non-christians in the world are just plodding along for the sake of it? It's when I read things like this, I really appreciate being a humanist rather than a religious nut.

No i do not know him, i believe he lived.
But he died, so logic dictates that i cannot know dead people.
Live your life for the present, do not look forward to death, because we only get one life. Look forward to living the rest of yoiur life, not rotting in a grave 6 foot under!!

Yeah, I saw him at a concert a couple of years ago, but we didn't have much time to chat.
It’s like, Jesus has got things to do, he’s got a ten o’clock. He’s not going to fix things for me, I have to fix things for myself.
We’ve just got to lighten up on the savior bit, folks. You know, get off the cross, we need the wood

On the contrary. I look forward to the day when adults become adult and stop believing in that drivel.

How can you assume, just from what you have said, that everyone has to have jesus in their lives. You might want him in your life because you have nothing to look foreward to, but he can stay out of mine and i have plenty to look foreward too.

I've never met him and that isn't true that we have nothing to look forward to with out meeting him. I have my baby to look forward to.
