Do you believe that we should all have the right to do whatever we want as long as it doesn't limit the rights of others, or do you believe in legislating your morality (which is different depending on the denomination) into public laws?

(Reposted since no one has yet. With the exception of the guy who was playing pokemon. No one has provided anything that isn't easily refutable yet.)

Please provide your evidence. I wish to know. Yes I will research it. Yes I will listen.

However, if your answer is thermodynamics then please move along you don't understand thermodynamics. If your answer is something about god said X then please move along as that is not evidence. If your answer is statistically unlikely hood then please explain why people win the lottery. Lastly, the magnetic field does not indicate it is permanently decaying. It goes through ups and downs and that is evident by the newly created sea floor. Covered under Oceanography.

no proof ,nothing has been established ,the bible is so full of double standards ,ppl have no arguments FOR the existence of a God, nothing in this circle of bla bla on R&S has helped establish any sort of entity!

while it is great fun to wrestle aound with some of you,and I think I find many of you have a great sense of humor, I would like to know if any Christians at all, will try to establish what they call a fact regarding the existence of The God they love to speak of so much???? any takers here at all????

I didnt call myself Atheist
religion/God/spirituality etc just didnt seem to come into my thoughts enough for me to label myself

I do understand that on a forum like this , we all need labels to get our point across
but in real life does Atheism come into it ?

I also have to add though that being in the UK there was no need to explain ourself
I am wondering if the US is different in regards to this

thank you xx

According to the Watchtower, Jesus is only the mediator for the annoited class. If that is true...who is the mediator for you?

(Watchtower, 4/1/79, p. 31): "So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the “mediator” only for anointed Christians. The new covenant will terminate with the glorification of the remnant who are today in that covenant mediated by Christ. “This great crowd” of “other sheep” that is forming today is not in the new covenant. However by their associating with the little flock of those yet in that covenant they come under benefits that flow from that new covenant."

Is there any prophesy in the bible that deals with the destruction of Jerusalem and the second temple in 70 AD?
Other than the 70 weeks of Daniel which deals more with the coming Messiah, than the actual destruction of Jerusalem.

"Loving of enemies is another dogma of feigned morality, and has beside no meaning....Those who preach the doctrine of loving their enemies are in general the greatest prosecutors, and they act consistently by so doing; for the doctrine is hypocritical, and it is natural that hypocrisy should act the reverse of what it preaches." – Thomas Paine

"The Bible was established altogether by the sword, and that in the worst use of it -- not to terrify but to extirpate." --- Thomas Paine

"What is it the Bible teaches us? -- rape, cruelty, and murder." – Thomas Paine

Christianity cannot live in peace with any other form of faith. -- Robert Ingersoll

If you believed in reincarnation and could come back as any animal? What would it be and why?
I would be a pretty bird so I could fly anywhere I wanted, spy on people and poop on the ones I didn't like.

Like:

<< Psalm 34:18 >>

The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

What does it mean? Is the Hebrew there a specific name for God which the English translators choose to capitalize? I know I should know the answer to this question, but I don't!

Thanks!

So..."God" made us all supposedly, yet...this omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent Being needs our puny human worship to be satiated, and we have to by "faith" trust in his existence, although this cat hasn't gone a live gig since like Moses parted the Red Sea.

Ok. So we all automatically just "go to hell" because we choose not to believe in something that we cannot see, touch, taste, sense, hear...etc?? C'mon!!! That is totally NOT fair!! I could tell you the Moonlight Troll will damn you all to everlasting rest in a hot cauldron of marshmallow goo when you die if you don't accept him as the Truth. Does that make it real? Even if I had a text that went along with it? Of course not.

Where is the logic in a hell? I'm just really saying, if this loving "god" made us, why is this cat so elusive and clandestine? If he wants his "children" to believe, why not do like a Jeezapalooza once a year or something on the winter solstice? For crying out loud, show me the PROOF.

Muslims believe that Ishmael, a son of Abraham by Sarah’s Egyptian handmaid Hagar, to be the “father of the Muslims”.

In Genesis 17:19-21, God willed that the old and barren 90-year-old Sarah to bear a son to be named Isaac. God promised Sarah that He will establish with Isaac “an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.” What is this covenant? The Promised Land. To whom did God establish His covenant? To Isaac and his seeds or descendants. Who are the descendants of Isaac and his son Jacob? The Israelites. To whom then did God promise the land? To the Israelites. Did the covenant have any termination date? No. It was an “everlasting covenant”. Why then do the Muslims claim the land of Israel as theirs? If they believe in the true God, they will “submit” to His wishes. That is what Islam means—“submission to God”. Who owns the land here on Earth? Isn’t it God? So He can will it to anyone who He desires.

Ok who do you think you are following Christians? God did not send you here to bash people, and destroy people with your rude and self-centerd remarks, we as Christians ar enot suppose to judge, but we are to love and show compassion, and not hate, James says that if you hate your Brother then the love of the Father is not in you, yes we are suppose to wittness and tell people what the Bible says, but we are not suppose to destroy them, you guys that are doing that are acting like the religious people of Jesus' day that HE rebuked and called vipers, you need to repent and show love and compassion and not hate, and apologize to those that you have offended....

Does anyone know the exact book and verse that says there is no possibility of repenting or forgiveness after death?

Where does it say one must accept Jesus before they die or be banished to Hell for eternity like all Fundamentalists and Evangelicals seem to want for all other beliefs?
