while it is great fun to wrestle aound with some of you,and I think I find many of you have a great sense of humor, I would like to know if any Christians at all, will try to establish what they call a fact regarding the existence of The God they love to speak of so much???? any takers here at all????

Why does the universe expand faster and faster? Why do bumble bees fly? Why is it Humans are so different from every other animal on this planet? The closest is Apes and its barely a relation at all any more.

The argument for A god, any god, is right there. The proof. There are many things that science can not exlpain. Why are atoms only configured the way they are, why are the micro and macro such different worlds? Answers science cant tell us. Science can tell us a lot, and it has, its a good system and I respect it a lot. but it has shortcomings. also religeon can be a great supplemental. It can instill in us a sense of wounder, a sense of purpose,a sense of fundamental right and wrong. I'm saying religeon CAN, not that it always does in todays world.

To steve g. If god exists, and he is perfect, how is it that we are not perfect? how can we fail him, dissapoint him, etc. If we are his creations? If we are the creations of a perfect being, how is it that we dissapoint, make him sad, etc. and the answer your thinking of "becuse thats his way" is just a big excuse. It makes no sense. Also why put a forbiden tree in the middle of a garden? why not put it somewhere hard to get to.... like the edge of a cliff on mount, everest? better yet why make it at all? Why would satan want our souls? whu would he want to "Turn us from the path of god?"

When you can answer those questions, then you have a right to use the "prove he dosent exist" line. And dont bother withtrying to use my arguments up there, all they do is give evidence of the possibillity of a higher power

The reason people say there are many contradictions and double standards in the Bible is because they are simply misunderstanding the message. Give an example with appropriate verses, I will help you understand.

We have "facts," and those "facts" are within the personal relationship one has with God and that is enough to keep any believer. No, we have no physical proof, only the Bible and the recorded historical "facts" within the book. Why don't you open your mind and take a chance with God? If he is indeed fake, what do you have to lose? If you really want your answers, ask God. If you just want to mock Christians, keep posting these ridiculous questions. Have a great day.

I realised in mid-teenage that faith was based upon nothing but itself, that science explained nature satisfactorily without needing supernatural beings, and that religious beliefs were no different to those of ancient beliefs in gods and goddesses. The Abrahamic God seems to be a conglomerate of Mesopotamian and Canaanite Gods identified together to form the one God. At least some Gods that were assimilated were: the Mesopotamian Marduk via the Canaanite El in Genesis 1 (Elohim) and El-Elyon (God Most High whose High Priest was Melchizedek in Genesis 14, who was compared to Jesus in Hebrews), Yahweh in Exodus, the "unknown" Greek god identified by Paul in Acts 17:23 (to appeal to the Gentiles), and the Arabic Al-Illah. In the Mesopotamian creation epic, Enuma Elish, the great dragon Tiamat, who was the personification (if you can use that word for a dragon) of the waters of primeval chaos, was the mother of the gods. The god Marduk battled against Tiamat (the waters of chaos) and divided her body to form the heavens and the earth. This seems to be paralleled in Genesis 1:6-7: And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament.

It depends what you mean by proof. If you are wanting a mathematical/science proof then one can argue from various theories such as the fact that so many physical constants in Science have to be just what they actually are for this Universe to function and not fail. I'm not personally terribly interested in that kind of argument.

There is historical proof of peoples' lives being majorally impacted by God, but of course one is relying on their testimony.

For me, the proof is in the fact that if you believe in Jesus as your Saviour (who died to save us from condemnation in the sight of an absolutely pure God), you come into a relationship with God that is very real, although it usually takes time to develop.

There are very real experiences in the life of christian faith. in some areas of christian experience one can experience the presence of God in powerful, at times overwhelming, at times wonderful ways. And one can encounter people healed supernaturally through Christ in ways that are actually medically impossible. These things are very real and can be sought and found. They are most certainly utterly firm proof when experienced to a depth, but only to those who enter the path of faith in Christ. This is because God is pure and it would appear that He cannot do much in a person's life, and that person is pretty oblivious to Him, until they have received forgiveneness. I don't think this forgiveness is available in other faiths as a proper sacrifice for sins is not available in them (although some claim to have forgiveness); perhaps the old Jewish covenant may still be effective to a degree (although I'm not at all sure that is so).

The existence of God cannot be proven in a laboratory or through the complicated mechanisms of logic. Neither can love, nor beauty, nor happiness, but that does not mean they are not real. In the same way, just because you cannot "prove" that God exists as you can prove a chemical formula, it does not mean that He is not real. It only means you are using the wrong tools.
Faith is not anti-intellectual. Science itself points to an all-wise and all-powerful Creator. As the Bible says, 'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands' (Psalm 19:1)."
I invite you to look beyond the physical world to the greatest evidence of all—the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says we can know God is real, because He came into this world in the Person of Jesus Christ. If you want to know what God is like, look at Christ, who is "the image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15). WIurge you not to let pride or anything else get in the way of discovering the new life He alone can give. When we open our lives to Jesus Christ, we are admitting that we do not have all the answers and cannot save ourselves. The Bible says, "The foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men" (1 Corinthians 1:25).
The Bible also says, "You can never please God without faith ... Anyone who wants to come to God must believe that there is a God" (Hebrews 11:6, TLB). You best demonstrate your faith in a bank by putting your money in it. You best show your faith in a doctor by trusting him in times of illness. You best prove your faith in a boat by getting aboard. You demonstrate faith in Christ by trusting Him with your life and by receiving Him unconditionally as your Savior.

A God small enough for Man to Reason or wrap His(Man"s ) Mind around would be no god; It is Written there is a way that seams right to a Man-Women but that is the Way of Death;
You can"t find God with Your Intellect,if that were poss-able Jesus (God in form of Man) would not have provided Himself a Body;For the Fallen Man;

You have asked and ye have received some great answers here,heed them...need I say more?I will anyway,you have to humble yourself and surrender your life to the Lord before you'll find Him.To surrender means to walk with the Lord in His ways,let Him "take the wheel" TRUST HIM.But He has to be INVITED into your life with a sincere and open heart.When you confess and ask for His forgiveness you must accept it and forgive yourself as well,never look back,know you have been forgiven.If you stumble(and you will)just get back up is all He asks.As long as you rely on your super-ego to run your life He won't even see you.The proof you seek is within.

An Ancient story in the Vedic tradition goes : When God had finished creating and looked for a place with the best vantage point, wanting to be hidden from view, He thought, "I'ii hide in man, he'll never look there!"

Better be careful... You might risk that YA is moderated by Christians, which eventually will delete your account for harrassing Christians. I´m not so sure that "free speech" really exist. Otherwise there wouldn´t be a report system with actions taken upon the reports.

ok... i'll prove God right here... Life, can anyone create it, not concieve it but, create it. Let me make it easy for you... no. If no one can create it... it had to come from something greater than ourselves. This something greater is God. However it goes further than that... what you are saying is there is no proof for God. I am saying you have no proof that God does not exist. I just gave credible evidence for God. Your turn... tell me how I am wrong.
God Bless
