I stopped being a Christian while ago and at first my mom was really nagging me about it. Well she's backed off for awhile but now she's at it again she leaves books on my bed and tries to get me to go to church she even wanted me to see a Christian counselor!

It's hard because I'm only 15 and I know I'm supposed to listen to my parents or whatever I mean it just seems like she doesn't respect what I think because I'm young. I know a lot of you on here used to be Christians, how did you handle a situation like this???

OK, temptation comes from the Devil. But when I asked who tempted Lucifer to be ruler of Hell (basically, who gave him evil thoughts), I was told that the Devil is not in Hell yet, that he's still in Heaven, and he wont go to Hell until the war is over, along with human sinners. So who is tempting humans? How is Satan's greatest lie that He doesn't exist (creating Atheists), if He's not here tempting us (because he's still in Heaven).

If He's not in Heaven, and He is here tempting us, who tempted him and created the first evil thought??

Isaiah 40:22 [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them
out as a tent to dwell in:

thats in the Old Testament before AD 1 just another example that if you read The Bible you will be smart!
Isaiah already called this earth is a circle that has God sittin on it.

Psalms 119:72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

I just read this story and I find it appalling. The Vatican has such riches and yet they are turning out these women who have given their lives to the Church to pay for the sins that others committed. This is atrocious! Your opinions?

How do you explain the War in Heaven, in which Lucifer and one third of the Angels were apparently defeated and cast out, something that absolutely, positively HAD to preceed the creation of man... Adam in particular?

This isn't something that I'm just making up. This isn't an obscure reference that noone has ever heard of. This isn't a twisted interpretation that I've fashioned from Kahless, the legendary Klingon Warrior's hair in hopes of thwarting Jesus and his horde of people that are, you know, just sittin' around waiting for him to come back and kill all of their enemies. This is a legitemate question.

Now' I know that there will be those that may say that it was only the Earth that was made in 6 days. Sure, that's a fair point... but as soon as someone mentions the Big Bang Theory, those guys are usually like, "Nu-uh! GOD did it in SIX DAYS!!! NOW SHUT UP!!!" which just shows more inconsistency.

I'm tellin' you dude. People are mis-enterpreting the Bible. Atheists, too.

Something that was brought up while I was talking to a friend about all the different religions. Pretty interesting that alot of statues and drawings/paintings show Jesus as a white man with lightish brown hair and blue eyes. He was a Hebrew right? So wouldn't his skin have been a somewhat darker color? Wouldn't his hair have been dark as well? And blue eyes?? Come on.
Oh as a side note, I'm not a Christian but I do respect most all religions (excluding satan worship or like...we hate and kill animals religion)

Say you had a kid who was between 6 and 14 years old. If a family of theistic Satanists moved in next door (Satanists who actually worship Satan and his demons) and they had a child the same age as yours, would you let your kids play together?

I seem to have reached a point on here where I either don't know the answer, or I've answered the same question so many times and can't be bothered.

Also I have run out of new ideas for questions.

Basically I'm just asking whether I should sit tight and wait for new inspiration, or just disappear from here.

Would anyone miss me? I wouldn't want to put anyone through that, so if you're gonna miss me, I ain't going.

Or.... (option B)...

...maybe I should just go to a different category?
...except I tend to find religious reasoning for everything nowadays. I'll probably end up bringing various religious deities into an answer about computing.

*Jesus ALWAYS used MS-DOS. Windows wasn't around back then. They didn't even have mice.*

Or I could just stay in R&S and wait for FedEx to deliver my vegemite bran muffin, complete with free hugs and a special edition VT mug that plays Elvis songs when you pour boiling water in it.

I'll leave it to you.

I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” - Stephen F. Roberts

God debate aside, do you believe this quote is true?

Does a religious person disbelieve in all other gods for the same reason atheists disbelieve in all gods?

the church age is over satan now rules in churches. if you are under the authority of a church and you die you will not go to heaven you will be sent to hell on the last day. if you are under the authority of any church you have a wrong interpretation of the Bible.

2Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

do yourself a favor and read the bible KJV not NIV because niv is translated from latin and KJV is translated from greek and hebrew which the real Bible is written in. The real original Bible pages can be seen on display and they are all in greek, aramaic, and hebrew, none of them are written in latin.

your church tells you u can get yourself saved its a "do it yourself gospel" that is not the true gospel please check out www.familyradio.com for more information on the true gospel.

Abraham was chosen to be a Great Prophet of the Creator of the Universe.

Abraham had two sons who were both to be blessed with a Holy Covenant at separate times.

The Holy Covenant are promises from The Lord of Abraham in return for taking on the responsibility to "Make Allah/God known to the World" and establishing the “laws of God” on the Earth.

Ishmael - first son - ISLAM
Issac - second son - JUDAISM & Christianity

JUDAISM is the covenant through Isaac.
ISLAM is the covenant through Ishmael.

Christians, do you believe that the only motivation for "getting the lost saved" is fear of Hell and desire for Heaven. Or... are there other motivations, and what are they? The purpose for the question, by the way, is for Christians (I include myself) to think outside what you may have heard or been taught by many mainstream Christian ministers and the assumptions of those who choose not to be Christians.

You learned your religion on your mothers knee. Don't bother saying... "that is not true"... "my mother was Catholic and I am a Baptist. You will just show your ignorance. The church is not the god. The god is the church. If you believe in Jesus you are Catholic. Just liike if you drive a Chevy you believed the GMC line of crap. Or Toyota.
If you want to bare your soul and see your real self go to your medicine cabinet and see the products you have paid mopney for. Then watch the commercials of those products. You will see your real self in the actors on the commercial. You at one time or another esponded to those commercial messages. Don't bother saying it is not true. It is true, and you will just make yourself look stupid.
