Christianity has always be a "make it up as you go" religion.

oh how this is saddening. i am tired of being put into a generalization statement. who is to say that they are really christians if they don't obey or if they live in what you deemed as a "lawless religion" i dont' wear pants, i don't cut my hair. I don't wear makeup or jewelry. but if i dont bridle my tongue... or if i don't love my neighbor...or if i don't have holiness in my heart...or if i have my eyes on everyone else instead of Jesus...then all the standards (biblical) that i adhere to are in vain and i become nothing more than a pharisiee. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. so in other words don't say you love him if you can't or refuse to keep his commandments. i am sad by those that do call themselves a christian on one of their answers and then they write a cuss word in the same answer. i have seen one answerer say that he was a christian (an ordained minister at that) and then tell someone he was giving him two middle fingers way up. i believe i need to follow the ten commandments. i believe i need to follow the commandments that Jesus set forth, and i believe i need to adhere to the teachings of the apostles as well. i have to digest the entire word of God. yes, the sacrifices of the old testament and the stoning and things like that were done away with when jesus said turn the other cheek instead of an eye for an eye. when he said walk 2 miles instead of just one. he came to fulfill the old testament and not to eradicate it. i couldnt call myself a christian if i believed otherwise but i also couldn't call myself a christian if i judged everyone else around me because of different beliefs. i can't make them believe what i believe. they have a choice to do what the bible says or not. they have a choice to believe it or pick it apart and say what should or shouldn't apply to them. i am still not perfect and i have a long way to go.

You bet it's a lawless religion! Jesus said the law would be in effect as long as the heavens and the earth existed, so that pretty much settles the "law" issue. But they have the false "once saved, always saved" doctrine that allows them to live any way they please, and somehow still enter into the presence of a Holy God.
This is insanity at it's darkest point. The "narrow way" has no place in their broad-path religion.
Run away from them! Run as if your life depends upon it...because it does!

It's not lawless, it just doesn't have the same strictness as Islam or Judaism. The big idea in Christianity is to believe Jesus is the Son of God, everything else is just gravy. Lots of Christians try to live in Jesus's example, though.

Different Christian sects approach the bible differently.
Some take the whole thing literally.
Some take some parts and reject others
Some take only the parts that support their own personal, social and political agendas.
Go figure.
