Power is a great good when it is used for great good. But the means don't justify the ends. If one already has great power that is how it is to be used, to good ends.
However, what if you don't have it. God often uses humble powerless persons and means to show that He is the real power.
You are in one of 2 positions then and you approach power according to His Will. If you are powerful so be it. If not, that can be good too. You don't seek the power you seek the good.

power is a very strong word . it's not neccasarily the power and money its what you do with it . that s where false idols come in . you could be famous and have tons of money give to funds but depending on the places you give it to and why you gave it is abusing your power . it is good to use authority to teach and empower those around you so the answer to your question is only when used for good

This might not be a very Roman Catholic thing to bring up, so listen to me if you want to.

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

If you use this as an answer, PLEASE let me know how they react. Because I'm thinking that they will not like it.

the power of God
Paul said I come not in wise or pursuasive words but a "demonstration" of the spirit's power. I believe signs and wonders still follow those who believe.

This is why I'm glad I was never raised Catholic. I could never answer a question like this seriously. I'd be in trouble everyday!

A thing is only what it is. It's how it's used that renders it good or evil.

School may not like that, so I could alternatively say, when it is used responsibly.
