They cannot accept an idea without proof. They think logically rather than believing in a document that is self contradicting. I don't believe to be better than anybody, we can all live a better and fullfilling life without god, if we where to be at piece with everybodies beliefs. We are all incharge of our own destiny. My own believe is that my life has a purpose "NOW" and after death. I'm not trying to offend anybody but If the whole world was atheist, I would personally feel selfish to not believe in a supreme being that created life and the universe. I have witness miracles far before I understood the bible. We have a world that was built with Intelegent Design, and Science is part of that inteligent design. Human's where created in god's image, we are capable of great things but we are still yet to solve the problems of today. My believe is that a better life awaits us, death exist today because of sin, and Jesus came to bring hope to nonbelievers. What are your comments?

While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to prove Christianity.

You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

The well-known ones I don't mention as you may already know.
They may do good things on the surface, but beneath the surface, the secret part of them makes them a secret society.
Even if you are aware they are secret, we still don't really know what secret practices they are into.
1. Knights of the Golden Eagle
2. Knights of Malta
3. Modern Woodmen of America
4. National Ancient Order of Hibernians
5. National Grange (Order of the Patrons of Husbandry)
6. Odd Fellows (the poor man's Masonary)
7. P.E.O. Sisterhood
8. Ancient Aralis Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine
9. The Order of Owls
10. Knights of the Maccabees

It seems to me that God is considered responsible for positive things, but he is not considered responsible for negative things.

If your home was on fire, you might pray. But you'd do more than pray--you'd call 911, if you could. And who would come? Firefighters. NOT God, though I'm sure you'll say he's there in spirit.

When the firefighters arrive, and save your life, you will likely thank them. However, you'll also likely thank God for the "miracle," and claim him the person to be thanked when telling your story.

But what if the firefighters didn't arrive? If they decided not to come, and you were to die, I GUARANTEE your family members would blame THEM, and NOT God.

So, let me get this straight: when people do something good, it's all thanks to God. But when they do something bad, it's all their fault. How is that fair?

So really, *WE* can't do anything good, by our own account. However, we can do bad things. Isn't that just setting us up for failure?

Before you answer, I'll respond to the obvious dumb arguments that Christians are going to come up with.

"Transitional fossils"- This means you don't know how evolution works. ALL fossils are transitional fossils. Evolution isn't like on the ninja turtles or Xmen. ALL organisms are undergoing change. You're a transitional organism from your parents to your children.

"Why are there still monkeys?"-
1. I'm sure you've heard this 100000 times, even though you ask this anyways. We evolved from the same ANCESTORS.
2. This also means you have no idea how evolution works. One population would be isolated from another population of the same species so that they wouldn't be allowed to interbreed. Over time, respectively, the populations would change enough to become new species.

Simple stuff.

If you don't want to go take a biology class, go wikipedia evolution and/or transitional fossils. READ ALL OF IT and I'm sure, even you're openminded enough to realize there are no flaws.

Are Kept under wraps because people will not be able to handle it???The 3rd secret Pope John revealed was that Souls would be lost and faith lost within the church-That's it??hardly as some say
Many say Jesus spent time with the Essenes who were a unique group and wrote many of the scrolls-They felt that they had been entrusted with a mission, which would turn out to be the founding of Christianity and of western civilization. They were supported in this effort by highly evolved beings who directed the brotherhood. They were true saints, Masters of wisdom, hierophants of the ancient arts of mastery.
They considered each religion to be a different stage of a single revelation. They accorded great importance to the teachings of the ancient Chaldeans, of Zoroaster, of Hermes Trismegiste, to the secret instructions of Moses and of one of the founding Masters of their order who had transmitted techniques similar to those of Buddhism, as well as to the revelation of Enoch.
Thoughts?

Just curious - there are so many people here from all over that I sometimes wonder what it would sound like if we all got together. So what is your accent? Is there someone we all know you can compare yourself to to give us an idea?

I don't mean "Who do you sound like?" - someone with an accent very similar to mine would perhaps be Helen Mirren - but obviously I don't sound like her.

I'm from near the estuary from which (in the UK) we get the term "Estuary English". Do you have any local names by which we might get a flavour of what you'd sound like?

(This is a consquence of being faceblind - I get very hung up on the sound of people's voices...)

I know those who promote it are trying to make a point but I think it is a bad stratedgy to argue a point you don't really believe in to try and dismantle an argument which people do believe in. That being said I think those who promote this might be embarassed at how easily it could be disproven. Your thoughts?

The two things you should never talk about in public are religion and politics.

One of my evangelical relatives was completely blown away by this. Didn't even get where the logic was coming from.

Jesus detested the temples for overcomplicating the religious message- reading too much into it and making up there own laws and criticising and throwing out (excomunicating??) people who broke those laws. he said that the important thing was to remember to always love your neighbour and your god... surely churches (particularly the catholic church) have adopted the discrimination and dishonesty jesus Christ himself so detested? All churches are certainly guilty of making up new rules and reading too muych into the scriptures?
