The Lions and American Legion are not listed as secret societies. Job's Daughters involve the daughters of the Freemasons, according to my research.

I don't take any of them seriously. I'm just reporting what I've discovered as being "secret societies." What you make of them is up to you to check out further.

You have chosen well... Obviously educated in your choices. Nice to see that you just didn't throw out every fraternal organization in your list.

You forgot the Odd Fellows.

Job's Daughters International is an "adoptive order" of Freemasonry for girls aged 10-20.

The Improved Order of Red Men is a very old fraternity that is still around, but has experienced a decline in membership. It is a charitable organization, like most of the other fraternal groups. Same for the K of P (Knights of Pythias).

There are many different Rosicrucian groups, including the AMORC and the Rosicrucian Fellowship (Max Heindel's group in Oceanside, CA, which considers itself to be a group of Christian mystics).

The various Catholic knights groups, in addition to the Knights of Columbus, are groups with Catholic membership, since Catholics have historically not been allowed to join Freemasonry.

As for the Elks, they do a lot of good, as do the Moose.

The Grange has a lot of ties to farming communities. Its actual name is The Patrons of Husbandry. It's very much a family fraternity.

Don't confuse some of the fraternal "Druid" groups with actual religious Druidry.

How are these not good societies? Most are quite charitable, or are simply pursuing certain types of teachings. There's nothing wrong with them at all, in my opinion.

They aren't all 'secret' societies, you left out The Orange Order and the KKK. By the way, the Ancient Order of 'Hibernians' isn't a secret organisation. The Druids were never a secret organisation, until the Roman army hounded and murdered them all.

I was a Job's Daughter. There is nothing bad about it. It is Christian based on the Book of Job. I'm a pagan now, but I still love my time in Jobie's. We did fundraisers for hearing impaired, local charities, lot's of community oriented stuff. As most of these organizations do. The only problem people have with them, is we don't broadcast what our meetings are like. Why don't you try the old group, the Hellfire Club? Benjamin Franklin was a member. The held orgie's and satanic rituals because they could. Not because they actually believed in it. Looking at some of your questions, you have a very active imagination. What time does mommy tuck you in?

I know about almost all of these and looked up the rest. None of these you mention are considered "not good" and are all either fraternal, university or charitable organizations with the exception of #10 and #12 which are occult/spiritual organizations that don't intend anything negative as far as anyone knows about (I was a member of #12 until I stopped sending them money.) Quite a few of these are basically drinking clubs!

Most of them I've never heard of. The others I know very little about. However, the nature of "secret societies" is suspect. Anyone considering membership in a secret society would be wise to ascertain its real objectives. True religion in no way practices secretiveness. Worshipers of the true God have been instructed not to hide their identity or to obscure their purpose. The early disciples of Jesus filled Jerusalem with their teaching. They were out in the open as to their beliefs and activity. (See —Acts 5:27-29; 8:1; 12:1-14; Matthew 10:16, 26, 27; Acts 28:16-22)

The Druids are just practicing their form of Paganism. Nothing evil about it. The Elks... well, they have a rehabilitation hospital here, and do a lot of good work to help people. The rest I can't speak about.

What, exactly, have you got against the Druids, the OTO, and the Rosicrucians? I mean, EXACTLY, aside from rumors?

People say all kinds of things in ignorance. Don't make the mistake of taking them as gospel.
