Jesus detested the temples for overcomplicating the religious message- reading too much into it and making up there own laws and criticising and throwing out (excomunicating??) people who broke those laws. he said that the important thing was to remember to always love your neighbour and your god... surely churches (particularly the catholic church) have adopted the discrimination and dishonesty jesus Christ himself so detested? All churches are certainly guilty of making up new rules and reading too muych into the scriptures?

YES! I can't even go to church anymore because I can't afford it.

I don't think you can lump all churches in with your experience of the Catholic Church. Yes some churches always seem to be asking for money and want you to sign a pledge card so they can plan their yearly budget. We have moved within the last 18 months and the Church we go to is barely making enough money to pay the rent on the building our minister doesn't even take a salary. Also his sermons seem to be along the same lines of Jesus' teachings.

No the place - certainly no the place - interior the 4 gospels will you hit upon Jesus asserting something against homosexuality. interior the hot testomony you have Romans a million and that's incredibly it, and that grow to be Paul. Now, of direction, Jesus did no longer communicate some lot of issues. He did no longer communicate approximately cats, as an occasion. He did no longer communicate approximately lunar eclipses. There existed cats back then and likewise lunar eclipses. one element Jesus DID communicate approximately grow to be ghosts - in Luke 24:39 Jesus explicitly states that he's not a ghost which, of direction, extra desirable than means that ghosts are genuine. yet there are a number of many Christians who declare ghosts at the instant are not genuine and that the Bible `proves' there at the instant are no `ghosts' whilst, surely, that is no longer genuine (see Mark 9:4, Matthew 27:fifty two-fifty 3, Matthew 14, 1 samuel 28) and, interior the comparable way, there are a number of many Christians who declare Jesus condemns homosexuality interior the Bible whilst that, surely, is likewise no longer genuine. Why, then, are those claims made? because of the fact many many Christians do no longer study their very own Bible - they simply settle for what's advised them from the pulpit or from learn guides or from their prayer team. I remember as quickly as speaking to a born-back Christian who did no longer have faith Psalm 51:10, which incorporates the line, `Create in me a sparkling heart, O my God, and renew a good spirit interior me' grow to be interior the Bible because of the fact, being `saved', why could you will desire to `renew a good spirit'? And why could God `positioned that interior the Bible' whilst it wasn't genuine? I had to get a Bible and teach him the Psalm. hi, have faith what you desire to have faith yet whilst that concept forces a gay survivor of a companion's dying out of the living house they shared and denies people basic dignity the exciting's over and, relatively, Christians could desire to commence examining the completed Bible in the past they communicate on themes. And every person responding, please do no longer trot out previous testomony crap in this - you be responsive to damn properly none of you concern yourselves with something in Leviticus until you're into bashing gays or putting down females.

Churches, temples, mosques, etc. all serve a purpose in my opinion BUT eventually those on a spiritual Path may very well find that the traditional organized religions do not serve them well.

My "religion" is my personal relationship with God. But I started as a child being influenced by various traditional religions. My dad, a fundamental Christian, is upset with me because he feels I am just making up my own God rather than adhering to the teachings of one of the traditional sects of a world religion.

But Jesus did say that the kingdom of God is within!

And, even though Jesus was "upset" with many of the practices of the Sadduces (sp?) what I believe upset him is that priests wanted the position of intermediators. God hears our prayers, our sincerity, our hearts and no man needs to stand between God and the individual, in my opinion.

But until a person fully trusts themselves and God, and until their faith is strong, organized religions can and do help. Once you enter into partnership with God you can forgive the "churches" for what you believe are errors. You can forgive those that fear for your Soul and those who will accuse you of all manner of evil because you know that you walk with God.

I hope this helps.

Jesus taught us a principle and two commandments. The principle is that God is love. The commandments are to love your God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself even if he’s your enemy.
The Kingdom of God is here now inside your heart.
Nothing of this world not government, nor philosophy, nor religion is part of the Kingdom of God.
Does the modern Church teach this?
Does the teaching of the Church hinder people that follow the truth?

Become love, it’s the Godly thing to do.

Yes just like the churches in revelations... but the time is coming when a remnant will rise up... the true church.... watch and pray!!! The church should stand up for God's word and not permit sin... all sin, and still love the sinner. The problem is we like to sweep some sins under the carpet and blast others to the point of not loving the sinners back to God!!!!

Jewish Temples? There was only one Temple. They do not make up laws, they follow the 613 laws of the Torah. You really need to read the bible more

It is called legalism and tradition....... that is what God does not approve of........ and yes, a lot of the church houses are becoming more and more into those things..... tho they may not realize it....... they are searching out ways to keep their *buildings* afloat, money and living well, than teaching the gospels and teachings of Christ....... I will not name any, for that is NOT for me to say, but in the end , those who are appointed to lead the flocks and lead them astray, will face a greater wrath than those who are non-believers...... God bless

And you forgot that churches are run like businesses, exactly why Jesus whipped the merchants out of the temple.....

No because there was only one Temple (in Jerusalem) and it has only priests and a High Priest. However, with synagogues, yes you have a point.
